Good to see you Australia

Because everybody knows that Australians carry a wombat around in their kangaroo. :-D

I couldn’t decide if I should go with the “All Australians are surfers” stereotype, or if it should be the Crocodile Dundee type, so I decided to mix them. :)

"Do you speak Swedish too, Erik?"

Only a very small amount unfortunately. At one point as a child I could understand quite a bit.

Why is Salma Hayek behind the cornflakes?

Because we have a big ass border fence/wall with Mexico, and don't at the Canadian border?...that's how I took it.

Elcapinyoazz, I think you're absolutely right!

Erik, in that case it's probably quite easy to pick it up again. But you must find someone to speak it with.

Who to give Flowers

Inspired by two things.
1) Canada getting flowers every year from the Netherlands as a thank you for helping them during WWII.
2) A conversation between two guys that I overheard. :D

Religious Flags

Naughty France. :D

The “no religious symbols” laws are only meant for schools, so I was a bit creative with this one.

Back to the old

Today is my first day back in Denmark, so this is a little sentimental comic to mark the end of my stay in England.
I was planning on staying there for longer, but life happens. I will be going back a lot though, so it's certainly not goodbye forever.

The little people behind the countries are my housemates. :-)

Drunken Party

Atlantis and all his magic friends have confused many drunks throughout history. :D

Drunks from left to right: Scotland, Ireland, Finland, Australia, Belgium, Russia, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and Greece in the last picture.

Swedish Politics

The political climate in Sweden. It sucks at the moment.

Time for an explanation. Sweden recently got a new party voted into parliament, Sverigedemokraterna. They are known as an extremely “immigrant suspicious” party, and having them in the parliament does not suit the Swedes who have always proudly proclaimed themselves to be the least racist Scandinavian country. Especially Denmark has been called the big racists of the North because of their party Dansk Folkeparti.

Sverigedemokraterna are often compared to Dansk Folkeparti, and therefore the Swedes goes back and forth between calling Sverigedemokraterna a Danish party, and a Nazi party.

That of course got the attention of the Danes, because they felt they were being called Nazis, so they followed the election closely, and when Sverigedemokraterna got voted in, the “MUWAHAHAHA!!! Who are the nazis now, bitches!!?!” from the Danes could be heard all the way to Greenland. :XD:

And it can still be heard whenever some Danish specialist in Swedish politics is on the news and have to explain what is going on. It’s so hilariously obvious that they are enjoying this chaos waaay too much. :-D

Damn Kids

The temptation became too much. I had to draw it. England and his children.

It ended up looking like they’re in school, but they’re supposed to be at home doing homework. Yes, England is about to smack America in the back of the head.

Australia was a very naughty child, and England ended up sending him away, forcing him to learn to take care of himself. And it worked. Today Australia is a well adjusted man whom most people like.

America was a bit of a trouble maker too, but not as bad as Australia. Well, that was until he decided that he wanted to move out sooner than England would have liked.

Canada was adopted from France, and turned out to be one of the most polite and easy children England ever had under his care.

EDIT: Places like India and such weren’t so much England's children as his servants.

But what about places like British Guyana, the Foster Child of the New World? Or British Honduras, now Belize and running free as well?

Lap dogs with logwood = A pat on the head and a sweet, "You can go now, there's a nice doggie?"

Good analogy, though.

Border Control

Made this comic last year for Comic Party http://comicparty.dk/ which is why you get two comics about German/Danish relations in a row.

Anyway, when Denmark briefly got a bit of it's border control back last year (stopped 1 in 100 cars or something like that) the Germans didn't just complain that it was against European agreements, but also took it as a very personal attack on them, probably because Germany is the only country connected to Denmark by land. :XD

Moosedrool, alas I cannot.

Captain... or Skully, it's the biggest song contest in Europe and engage all countries.

Greens

In Scandinavia we're used to food just coming with a salad at restaurants.

When my family visited me in England we had dinner together, and they moved their food around a bit, even lifting it, before their finally asked "Where's the salad?"

Denmark the Artist

You thought I would ignore the Muhammed drawings? I’m a Dane! We f*#king love to joke about it!

See Sweden and Norway? This is what happens when you leave Denmark alone for too long. He starts drawing!

I have only sort of hinted at it so far, but Denmark is supposed to be racist without realising it. Especially this little incident gave us that reputation.

Bonus info: The irony of the flag-burning? According to tradition, the only way to get rid of Dannebrog (name of the Danish flag) without offending it, is to burn it. :XD

The Boogeyman Comes at Night

I rather like the idea of Russia going around to the countries that used to be part of him and try to convince them to come back when he’s drunk, scaring the sh#t out of them. :XD:

This is dedicated to Provass http://provass.deviantart.com/ who draws so many weird and wonderful pictures of my characters. :D
