CAPTAIN MOONLIGHT
by MFM

snow is ablaze with moon-rays

BIG STONE sits there silent and luna sighs

her breath reveals worry lines in her lover

she slowly passes over his crown

she lights up his heart and his face with its frown

she departs and he cries

he misses her sighs

the size of her eyes on night like this

he dreams now full of bliss

sun will come up

then he will cry for her

luna always comes back

ask old lady TIS-A-ACK.

rully inspiring thread, mark, and thanks again for picking up the tat like that, too

I just got to say that mark has done some major house cleaning on the Capt. Major props on conserving these routes. I doubt Iron hawk is on your list but you did end up doing that pitch later?

Max on the AO Wall roof.

Thanks. Max and I climbed the last pitches on Iron Hawk to finish the Atlantic Ocean Wall.

Nice shots, Matt. How did you get the first one of yourself?

Nice shots, Micro.

@Mark - I had a Gopro. Sometimes I put it on the pole on my gear sling (like the 2nd pic), sometimes I would clip it to the anchor or haul bags using one of these (with a backup cord): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002B8UL3U/

Either way, you can set the gopro to take a picture on a continuously repeating timer. I set my to take every 30 seconds, which seemed to work pretty well.

It will go till the battery runs out or the memory card fills up. Usually battery goes first. I had a hard time keeping the gopro battery charged too, since my little solar panel wasn't working very well...

Ok so these are trade routes but they are images from the best climbing trip of my life in September 2011. I look at these shots every day - even now, 2 years later. Mark you have me inspired for my next visit hopefully next autumn!

Next question Mark. Recommend me my next wall. On the big bit of El Cap, technically as hard as Zodiac (maybe a smidge harder) the least fixed heads the better. Lots of splitter cracks and bigger features.
Over to you.
