Here is a link to the slideshow presentation from the Memorial Fest:

http://www.fishproducts.com/Bloot_slideshow2.mov

It is a giant file, so have some time and be patient. Quicktime format. Oh, and it is a GIANT FILE, so wait for it to come in a bit for the best playback.

OMG, I'm back. :) Thank You !!! I guess I'll owe you for the rest of my life. Well, maybe I'd better throw in some cash considering my age.

And thanks both of you for all you did and do. Having had loss I can so appreciate all you who are so much "Blitzo's family" did. Including providing the beginning of wonderful solid closure to so many, awesome. You two mean much to so many. Cheers, lynne again.

Great time, introspection, and contemplation. Thanks for brining us all together Blitzo, not sure anyone else could have. A lot of food for thought.

I have photos to download, but I'm on the road, so it will be a week or so.

Thanks for the slideshow link Russ, I was going to ask about. Everyone should check that out!

Thanks Todd and Andrea for your hospitality! Thanks Sooze for coordinating everything!
Then jazz guys, thnx cactus pricks!
Thanks everyone for making it happen!

Todd is I think, the real catcher in the Rye.

Thanks everyone for making it happen!

Just watched the Blitzo link. All that Jaybro said and more.

A man's life. I talked with Billy, but I wish I would have taken the time to ask him more.... what he was thinking about, what was inside. At Stephanie's Thanksgiving party couple years ago Billy and I were wearing the exact same light teal blue/black down jacket. He came up to me and commented on it and asked if I used drugs. We started talking. Depths.

I have learned more. Billy taught me a ton without saying much, even tonight. tears, lynne.

Thanks for putting this incredible tribute to this man together.

Thanks Sooze, Russ and Todd for planning such a great event and the wonderful hospitality. So great to see so many people from near and far there in memory of Blitzo. What an amazing group of folks.

Hey Folks,

Even though I only dropped by and took off early, Bill and I found it worth the trip x 100. Nice seeing all of you, especially my dear Locker. I've missed you! Now I have a bit of Blitzo with me... Would it be alright to take him on a kayak trip? Hiking back here in my hometown woods? It's not climbing but it sure has it's own beauty. I for sure will take him climbing in the South and on a few ice routes in Montana. I know he's probably been there already, but what the heck!

Oh and I was thinking of getting him carried about in a gay pride parade around here because when I first met him, he kept describing the gay pride parade in San Francisco with so much wonder and excitement. He was tripping on it, absolutely loved it. He loved people that walked their own beat. I thought if he somehow knew what I was up to, he would get a kick out of that too.

Hugs,
AFS

Todd, thanks again for a wonderful job hosting an amazing evening.

Even though Christina and I got in late, we had a great time getting to catch up with old friends - Harrison, Moe, Anastasia and RLF just to name a few. Was a blast to FINALLY meet Locker, Russ, Tucker and the one and only JL - wish I had more time to hear some stories from that group for sure.

Slept like a stone and woke up pleasantly late, hung out with RLF and Crew for a while and then headed out to Indian Cove to get some climbing in before heading home. Was a wonderful way to spend the weekend, and share the love with all of Blitzo's many friends, fans and fam.

hey there say, sooze, russ, and all...

oh my... i just saw the blitzo-memory-quilt hanging there and i started crying...

that was my gift to him, so that he would have it to hang on to for the rest of life, as he looked back--after getting well--at all the folks that loved him, and were in his corner... something he could hang onto, each night, after looking back at this whole awful ordeal...

and here... it did not turn out that way... :(
it was MEANT for him, to get it though...

i made it JUST IN TIME... and by that, you both know--JUST in the nic of time, TIME for him to see and know of all those that were posting there for him... (a few names may have gotten left out, as once i sewed it, i could NOT add any more, ... though i think i got a few in on the OTHER SIDE... )...

DID NOT know, it would end up as a memorial memory for all these folks,
instead of blitzo himself...

but--you all gave him the BEST and the best always goes to those that are
so loved by their buddies and families and acquaintances...

well, what we knit together here on this short earth life, is part of
full picture, later, for eternity, so--he will still cherish this
memory-marker, though--in different ways, than when first planned...

*say, a fitting note to this:

my sewing machine 'died' just after i finished it...
IF IT HAD, SOONER, blitzo would not have BEEN here,
to enjoy it... :O :O :O

well, i had my cry now...
for those that knew blitzo billy, i know you will cry a lot more,
and for quite some time, until 'things settle' the best that they can, for you...

god bless to bill's sister, seeing here, there, made me cry, also...

i have five brothers and i pray that i can nurture our lives, while
WE have time, as, we are all living in spread-outs spots...

thanks for sharing all the pics...
and wow--lynne has her NAME BACK!!!!
A NICE HONOR, for her husband's trail, that he left behind!

ps:
oh my... locker--lost in the desert! (will there be a movie, now?)

;)

*and--a sequel? just saw there was another one of you all, lost, :)

good thing todd's place, helped place you back, or, you could have gone in CIRCLES all night... ;)

Neebee, here's another shot of your wonderful love quilt. You're so generous and thoughtful. The quilt has had quite some experiences. Was there when he passed, was there this weekend. Much love and gratitude to you lady!
