Washington State International Kite Festival, Long Beach.
My run up the coast coincided with the kite festival in Long Beach ( WA ) this year.
These kites are bigger than they look. I watched them bring one of them down, and it took three big guys and a truck to do it.
I had only tried KAP ( kite aerial photography ) on other kites once before, and found it trickier than I thought. Today, it seemed I couldn't miss.
While I was getting shots, folks wondered by to ask what the hell I was doing.
So when the camera was close enough to the ground to get a good look at, I demonstrated for them.

I'm always happy to explain what I'm doing. You can't blame folks for being curious. Even though I've met other KAP guys, I've never even seen anyone else doing this, except for me, so I'd be curious too.
