the past month or so I have taken care to be nice on the climbing forum and it has been a better month for me...I FEEL better about myself...

I didn't think I was mean much before (some posts were clearly not called for though)...and those posts did make me FEEL bad...

some negative posts were actually INTENDED to be funny but that humor doesn't always come across the internet well...

All in all it hasn't been hard and I DO FEEL better about how I have been treating people and it has renewed my faith in myself...

if you find yourself wondering if you should be NICER just TRY it is FREE!!

It's called constructive criticism, I understand most folks on this forum would rather bury their heads in the sand than hear a different viewpoint from their own but they better suck it up buttercup if they are going to voice their opinion online.

You should consider it a compliment any one responds at all.

PS: This is my positive post of the day.

Keep up the good work!

nice guys APPEAR to finish last until you take a close look at thier life Cragman...

I have always been a nice guy in person and it hasn't been hard to keep the mean people at bay maybe because I'm 6'4" and 200+ naturally...

I have lots of friends who love my dry, sarcastic sense of humor and rhetoric but that doesn't come across the web well in the way I do it...

So why not just go with what makes me feel good instead of trying to explain myself and end up feeling bad because I hurt someone's feelings...

it doesn't cost anything and we need more caring, sharing, peace, love, and happiness in the world...

and it feels good 2!!!

I prefer "astroglide" rSin...check out Chucky Mcgee's "to wide for astroglide" OW route in Jtree 5.11 OW...you wont find it in any guide book and you have to know Chucky's real name wich isn't a real name either BTW but he does have a variation on his 5.10 guide tennies at nomad that you can specifically request so you could find out Who he is...he is not mean BTW!!!

rSin Jtree is where I found my second FAMILY after all the flakes I met when I first moved to Cali at 26...I found real family in Hidden Valley campground (although I did frequently go to Indian Cove and poach "reserved" campsites from people who never showed up) but at Hidden Valley I met the people who became a family to me Mendo John, Shoney (chucky Mcgee) and many others...for the past 10 years I have camped/climbed at JT about 150 days each year the rest have been trips to Tahquitz mostly but also to Red Rocks, Tuolome Meadows, Malibu and other southern cal climbing areas...my friends are "dirtbags"

I am sure I have met Brant and the big man but some of us seem to have different nicknames with several different groups of people...we are like minded if we don't like people who DONT share...all of my friends are generous most of the time we cook for a large group and everybody eats whether they contributed or not...our meals are better than most you pay big cash for BTW

when the tools start tooling we leave for our night adventures and return when the tools have given up...our drum, guitar, drinking, smoking circle is always full but has room for more!!!

rSin I think neebee means that the seeds you plant may not grow as EXPECTED...

for example I grew up raised by hippies but did take care of a right wing conservative where my business was based before he died...he could speak seven languages and was the opposite of a selfish person....

when Johnny died I decided to pursue my real dreams...ie... my seed began to sprout...

rSin you and I are alike if nothing including racism keeps us down...we will find a way...

I just gave that "speech" BTW to my blood SISTER as she deals with a deadbeat who won't pay his fair share of bringing children into this wortld...

we don't care he is WEAK for we are STRONG we will OVERCOME and force him to pay and if he doesn't and we can't force it we will show our offspring what you do when faced with adversity...

you find an open door for one that is closed...

you try as hard as you can to do your best...

you search for good activities for yourself and your children...

you find a reason to do something instead of complaining about it...

you outlast, outthink and persevere when it seems you have no chance...

you BELIEVE in yourself...and what you are fighting for...they are your blood...you are strong enough to do it and you have no choice...

...if you are unsuccessful you still win because your children know what a strong person does when faced with adversity...you succeeed...you are happy anyway because happiness is a choice...choose to be happy because ANYTHING worth doing is HARD...EMBRACE the HARDNESS...if nothing else your children will know how to fight...let the COWARDS run and not take care of their own...I will show you how to fight...I am your brother and they are mine...

what's so funny about truth, love and understanding?

we all need to get along if this is to be a mamby pamby world,

so what if walt disney was a racist pig, he built a great park, didn't he?

i got out of the car on the Small World ride and tore up a bunch of dutch girls, next thing you know they had me down on all fours behind the magic shop, beating me on the kidneys with big sticks which caused me to piss blood for a weeks to come, no more magic kingdom for me, towed my wreck and i had to hitch hike back over the grape vine to Huron to start work at J box, yeah everything is just beautiful, ain't it? economy still jacked, lonely depressed housewives in curlers wondering what their retarded kids are gonna do with themselves, long haul owner/operators with their rigs in the driveway and rigs hanging out of their blue arms because 25 cents a mile just ain't cuttin it, cruise ships on fire with busted engines and a trail of sewage from tainted meat, beer vendors at the concert shutting down at 10 pm because these punks nowadays can't hold their liquor, if the thunder don't get you then the lightening will, or the sugar diabetes, mean while, everything at wally mart is still made in china, thru a 100 lb bag of chinese dog food out back for the wife like i do every month and she started talking like a chipmunk,
