Not quite ....
The four rescuers on top including Aron being lowered were all LEO Valley Rangers.
The two climbers who climbed up to the victim were from the rescue site.
There were 4 more a sar guys from the rescue site at the base.
A few of the Valley LEO rangers all are EL Cap climbers and Valley district LEO Ranger has done NIAD and Half Dome in a day several times.
These LEO Rangers are climbers and medics also .....

I hope the climber wasn't a guy named Jayce, last name unknown. I met a guy who was setting out for WFLT up in Yosemite the other day & he was planning to do it solo. He had some questions
Another super rescue done by the YOSAR crew!

YOSAR .... should be a reality TV show.
A rescue like this would open up some eyes and get good ratings....

Levy,
That wasn't Jace, the guy who you provided beta to at El Cap Bridge. Jace, I, and a third climbed WFLT together this past weekend (22nd/23rd) and topped out late Sunday night. We met the solo climber Sunday night when we descended back to the base camp bivy.
The only details I have on him are that he is from South Africa, was doing the wall solo, and planned to blast up to pitch 10 on day one to bivy and avoid the storm. He seemed to be experienced.
Glad he looks to be ok. Also really glad the weather held out for us! It was mostly sunny the two days we were up there.

Great route, great views, lots of fun.
Oh -- just remembered that it was the rescued climber's first solo wall.
He also managed to recover a jumar we dropped from the pitch 6 belay, so that was cool of him. Really friendly guy, even when we woke him up late that night while heading back to our car.

Thanks for checking up on me and it was a rad route! That exposure on the roof pitch is out of this world! So much fun! I had some trouble on pitch 3/4 (I don't remember, we linked them). The topo said there were bolts and fixed heads. I couldn't find the bolts and the heads were blown. I figured it out though! Super fun!
