It takes a special kind of scumbag p.o.s. to steal the tools that someone needs to take care of their family.

What kennyt said. Stealing food or clothing is one thing. Stealing a workman's tools is a special kind of evil.

Wow Pud you are down here in my neck of the woods. We shoot on thursday nights followed by beer & pizza. They just opened a climbing gym, Top Out, not far by too. Might have some tools you can borrow in the interim. You insured ?

Thanks for the empathy guys, couldn't agree more.

rwedgee,

Unfortunately, no insurance.
Your offer to loan tools is more important than the action itself.
When something like this happens, it's easy to lose faith in others.
Your offer proves there are many more good folks than the type that will steal what they choose not to earn.

I have tools to get by for now and will rebuild again over time.
Thanks again, it means a lot.

Wow, PUD, that's terrible. Damn. Tools are a special thing that should be illegal to steal.

I'd once been hit and they cleaned out my pickup truck. I learned that canopy locks are all but worthless. Anyway, I was busy raising kids and the time and had sworn to myself that I wouldn't be mad/angry at any crime against my family or I as long as it wasn't violent and my kids were safe and fine. Heh. Took about a day till I started getting annoyed as hell about it though. And I had insurance, big deductible though. Even then, I missed listing some things.

Wishing you the best and a full recovery of everything, it happens.

Holy sh!t !!!!

Those tools are your life line.

That's thousands of dollars of tools.

Looks like you're a contractor.

You've been wiped out. (heartbreaking)

Can you still work ......?

Werner,
I coordinate Special Effects in feature film. My next project starts in August so I have a little time to buy the essentials.
These fools stepped over items worth $3-4k to pick up a $95.00 screwgun because they didn't know what they were.
It is a big financial blow but it could have been much worse. I need to keep it in perspective.
Hopefully I will but, right now I only want justice.
