I could probably handle something tougher, but right now I'm craving a lap on Royal Arches. Get off the deck quickly, mellow but fun climbing, no fear and all stoke.

Hah hah hah, last time I was there I got lost! Le_bruce and I jumped on it at the end of a day of something else, I got off track on some wide variation I never tried, not sure if it was going to pan out or not, and we ended up bailing! Even a bail on Royal Arches would be fun right now.

So let's here it, what would you climb right this instant if you could twinkle your nose and make it happen.

Nutjob, I'm with you on the Arches or Direct on the Column. Quick altitude gain, good aerobic workout, and lots of fun. I'm waiting, though, until Father's Day, when I'm eligible for the Golden Turkey, and won't need to pay an entry fee any more.

With my current injury sesamoiditis and or metatarsalgia i would be happy to climb anything tbh.

In the shape i am in i was looking at ticking off as many of the classic New England 10a-d trad leads i could. Seemed likely i would be leading sport 12's by seasons end.

My second season on rock and already on the injured reserved list.

WTF!

In the shape I am in... LOL! This is the day when I'll have a reliable baby sitter for once and... I am actually out there and not playing Mommy. I probably won't climb well but who gives a shiest! I started not climbing well and enjoyed every nanosecond of it. Climbing is climbing...
Gosh dang, that would be so much fun! I'll try to climb anything that is set in front of me. Especially would love partnering up with Bill. He's a really fun guy.

I leave Saturday morning for my 3 month x-country road trip. I can't ignore my non-climbing wife for all of it, but I'm hoping to get in some long, cruiser trad routes in the 5.8-5.10 range at Zion, Tuolumne, Devils Tower, some stuff in the Black Hills, and other places along the way. Kings Canyon? Maybe.

Hopefully get in some harder leads as well, but probably single pitch .11s if my 51 year young body can take it.

For now I'd be happy to send the new route I just scrubbed here in NH before we leave. Hopefully the necessary bolts go in on Thursday evening, and then send the rig!

Dang, Gina!! That's a full dance card! Be safe! (Is Snake Dyke and Snake Dike the same place? I've only seen references to Snake Dike)

Dang, Gina!! That's a full dance card!
Well we only live a couple hours from all those places and we are typically in the Valley this time of year a several days a week. I can't really climb
much above 5.8 without it being a death struggle so it's hard to find easier stuff for this old gal.
As for leading...I'm not one to give advice..except I carry about twice as much gear as a guide book will recommend place about twice as much as recommended , never run out .. I weight each piece about 6 different ways from Hannah, and they are the easiest climbs you can find. My big objective this spring is to get dialed in on jumaring and try some
aid climbing.
What looks to be your strength to weight ratio you'll be an awesome leader. Have unconditional trust in whomever will teach you and ask lots of questions and never assume. Yes Snake Dike and Dyke are the same.
I'm way too old to be stoked by leading...my guess is you will be bitten, big time.
