Jim:

I am tempted very tempted i just wrote and deleted a bunch of garbage.

This thread has potential. Probably will not go very far being Friday with everyone out climbing the next couple days but it has potential.

It's not such a big thing, expressing common acts of courtesy. It's graceful and innate to everyone.

Posting about something nice you did can be embarrassing though.

Kindness offered, doesn't mean there is some reward other than being and feeling better for it.

Don't get caught up in anything in this life. Just experience it. Let it be whatever it is.

oh and disappearing into the mountains for awhile...that makes me happy

Climbing when ever I can seems to helps.

Not letting other people influence my moods.

Avoid taking myself to seriously.

And of course:

Hey Jim, this is fun.

Let me pull another one off my feckin' huge list. I am sooo happy.

How about an inch thick prime ribeye, grilled perfect medium rare with some roasted potatatoes and fresh porcini mushrooms and a killer Barbaresco. Vegetables would just be in the way.

Mine is letting people find their own fukking path.

I can dig it. And letting them know when they are messing with my fukking path.

Moving through life at my own speed. If I move too fast for others I will slow down humbly. If I'm too slow then I hope others will do the same. If that is kept in check...I'm happy! Hope your groove is groovin'!

Knowing it is not about you... The best stuff, the hurtful stuff, etc. The world is as it is and if you can accept the fact that you, yourself are not the source, you are not the center of everything. It eases the pressure and opens up to a whole other facet of reality. I myself find it humorous. Especially when someone gets passionate about petty subjects. Especially when they yell at others, as if anyone here really has control, really can change the scene just by yelling at it, bullying it, etc. It is not possible and I'm over it. Plus I will not struggle against the wind when there isn't anything to really to win against.

When do I feel really happy? It's when I get a chance to hear Aris giggling with his father and seeing Loki happy and content. When I see random acts of kindness, knowing there really are good people around. It's the small stuff that is HUGE. (Thanks Neebee.)

Key to personal happiness?

Happiness is never "personal".
