The hardest lesson in happiness is one I was told long ago, and it took me a decade of working at it to really incorporate it.
"Choose to be happy."
I am a naturally negative and pessimistic person, which serves me well in my job, but not always in my personal life. Simply choosing to be happy, and to be happy about the little crap now works for me. My jealous streak has mostly faded, and I am content to have my lot in life, more have less than have more so who am I to want more?
Could you come over here to do a little therapy by shooting a Mountain Lion full of holes for me?
It will increase my own happiness very much. We have a Big cat roaming in our neighborhood. It's been a real bummer, especially for Loki and the kiddo. Neither of them understand that the reason they can't play in the yard anymore is... I am just not allowing the two of them to be cat food.
