My name is jaysen, im a climber from new york and just got a job working in the valley, looking for a cheap option to get to the valley once i get off my flight in san francisco. I'll have very little baggage (a backpack and carry on bag).

will be arriving in SF on the 20th of May

thanks and best,

If you can't get a ride, the Amtrak/Yarts is a good option from SF

Yeah, if you can't get a ride, Amtrak/YARTS is the way to go. Relaxing & easy - get the hang of it in reverse for a quick reprieve from the Valley. I'd be happy to walk you through it, send a PM. Have a great summer.

There are a number of detailed threads on using mass transit at backpacker.com

Search there or post up there if you can't get a ride here.
