Although this is a climbing forum, I know there is a small sailing community on this site. I thought I'd go ahead and offer my boat here.
I am being transferred for work with very short notice and unfortunately cannot keep my new-to-me love, Hot Saki.
I have a listing for her for $2,000 on Craigslist, but have decided to offer her here at a lower price of $1,750. Price flexible for quicker sale, I do not have the time to go back and forth a bunch of times. I have a lot of ducks to get in a row in the next few weeks!!
Anyway, details:
1967 Santana 22 - Hot Saki, Hull #166 Fantastic Condition for Age! (Cannot stress this enough!) - Keel bolts replaced - Updated mast and standing rigging - reinforced mast step and cabin - recently repainted interior - original sails in decent condition (no spinnaker) Extremely Reliable 1969 Evinrude 6HP
While she was in my care I was going to replace running rigging (haven't had a problem with the current rigging, but they are sun-bleached--it's ready). I wanted to re-paint the deck and re-varnish the wood. I wanted to re-route the running rigging for single-handing, but never got around to it.
She is berthed in Berkeley Marina, slip is about $200/month. She's ready to go! I sailed her nearly every weekend between December and April and she's been a joy! Had some exciting times out past the Golden Gate Bridge but she kept me safe and dry. Great beginner boat for the bay. Get out there and start racing!!

Evening bump! (Don't worry, I won't keep bumping this non-climbing content beyond today or tomorrow)
However, to make it climbing related, here's a photo of me ascending the mast! My first aid climb!

When you were a kid?! There are THREE others just like my captured in the background of the photo I posted, and two more along my arm of the marina just out of frame. Can't go a day sailing without seeing other Tunas. If we're out for a leisurely sail and we cross paths, more often than not, one of us will tack and fall in behind the other. Then it's on!! I believe there are about 40 in the SF Bay.

If I buy it, can I still rent the slip? Are liveaboards still allowed at that Marina for the occasional bivy?

I subtracted the amount of money I had put in with improvements hoping that will help things along. I am trying to avoid getting stuck with paying the slip fees for any months when I am not here (especially because it will be more difficult to show the boat if I am in Arizona!). If no one bites at this price, I will probably donate it to the Berkeley Sailing School. I'd rather see some money in my pocket than a tax write off next year, though.
I'm not sure about the liveaboard situation there, since I've never asked. But I'm sure if you crashed there occassionally it wouldn't be a problem. Semi-private restrooms nearby (accessible by keyfob only), but no showers.

Good luck selling it. That seems to be a very fair price and it comes with
a slip! Sweet!

Great boat, excellent price, super place to sail out of and perfect scenario for one interested in getting into that crazy sailing scene. If a slip can be arranged, what a deal.

Most marinas limit sleeping to a maximum number of days per week, like 3 days or so unless you get a live-aboard permit.
Agreed, living on a 22 would be tough, people do it though.

Thanks for the kind words all! Surprised to see how many people are familiar with the Santanas!
I pay $207 and some change each month for the slip. I'm quite sure it can be transferred, but if not, there are identical neighboring slips that are available. Getting a slip would not be a challenge at this marina!
