Everybody seemed to enjoy that errant ice climber who fell with one on. But I'd generally agree it hasn't done much for our favorite snail-paced sport.

I'm a fan. No need to slag if your beef is that they're worn disproportionately by n00bs and rubes.

Well, yeah, you don't need to wear one on your head to appreciate how awesome and convenient and easy to use they are.

Not slagging the camera, I just have not seen much good climbing footage out of them. Post up that footage, I would like to see it.

I can't complain about GoPro, after filling out a form on their website and winning their "One of Everything we Make" contest. A few days later I received a box with a new camera, and lots of cases and attachments. They have to be making a huge profit - they give that away every day.

But reading the OP story, the DMCA takedown does NOT seem right.

Here's a Go-Pro vid of a guy free soloing [edit from weezy: The Headache]:

Vid: http://youtu.be/vTELq0DSD4s
Route [edit]: http://mountainproject.com/v/the-headache/105718186

Can't vouch for the music, the french blows of chalk, or the nausea you might feel by watching the whole thing.

The route itself looks stellar! Jams for miles. I can't tell where the crux is by this vid, but he seems to get a bit squirrelly around 6:00 mins.

But holy sh#t does the imagery psych me up when it's been too long since I've climbed any cracks. Can't see how if you like climbing cracks and like seeing climbing vids during dry spells something like this wouldn't hit the sweet spot.

With the wingsuit basejump crowd all the pros use the go pro. Climbing is just the oposite. If you see a climber with a go pro dial 911 imeadiatly as they are for sure within moments of a bad wreck!

I think the best thing about the new technology in this type of camera is you can leave behind an incredible video library for your family to enjoy long after your gone.

I don't have time to care about some removal of a review what ever I don't care I'm only interested in the tool and the tool has given us a birds eye view into some amazing adventures.

Thanks go pro.
