I figure I've used at least 5 of my 9 lives so, yes, I'm very glad to be alive.

Absolutely! Absolutely!
About 12 years ago I almost got taken out by Pneumonia--Antibiotics, surgery, and three months rest put me back on the street.
I can take a deep breath now and have BOTH sides of my chest raise--and I give a prayer of thanks for something I never even thought twice about before.
Today, I hope to get in 15 km. of nordic on a great sunny day with the temp about 20.
Every day, every breath is a gift--Enjoy it.

Life is a gift. I am happy and thankful for it. I've lost my dad and 2 of my good dogs in the past few months, which for me kind of puts it in perspective when those you love go away and you are left behind. Soon our time will come. But no need to rush it. Get on the sendtrain and enjoy the ride.

The body is never alive.

It is the presence of the soul within the body that animates the body ......

I nearly hit someone walking across the road in the rain in the dark wearing black. I am GLAD that I missed them, literally by inches. That took one of my lives.

Lynnie, after my most recent experience I can definitely say,

HELL YES!!!

It is only when one comes so close that they truly can appreciate life. I can truly say that I will never ever take anything for granted ever again.

Best of luck to you in your future endeavours.

is it possible to have too much happy?

it's possible to have too much sex.
i never thought i'd encounter that thrash-hold.

raw ain't pleasant.

i'm melancholic.
i like regular soul thrashings.
these self-imposed soul thrashings
always result in no sex. for me.

so i guess in a nut-shell,
i gotta get depressed
otherwise im humped dry,

I've had a few close calls on a bike while getting around. I tanked on my mountain bike 3wks ago and If my helmet wasn't on I prolly would have ended up in a coma... Almost died on the operating table when I was 9... And I can't count how many times I should have died while doing stupid/crazy stuff as a teenager with my friends either driving crazy or "experimenting" with substances...

Sometimes on a quite day in the Mountains or the back yard I take a deep breath and feel very luck to be alive and still functioning.
