We could spend the day digging in these rocks for moths to eat.....or we could run over there and eat that stoopid 'merican with his camera.
This is Silver. I've previously posted pics of her as a yearling and sub-adult. Now she is raising her 2nd batch of cubs.

That is one handsome bear, compared to me after I shave. 8^)
I'm pretty comfortable around most bears. Although I have been bluff charged several times.
This sow was not bluffing this young man. He stopped her charge with blast of bear spray, when he gave her a second blast she quickly retreated. He was pretty shaken up so I accompanied him down the mountain.

The falling rock was caught by the oaks many years ago; as time passes, they are sort of “consuming” and growing around the rock. I found this one pretty incredible just because it seems they have been growing around the rock for some time.
