I'm not sure why I missed this thread the first time, but a belated happy birthday to you, sir! The Summit magazine containing your "Dihedral Diary" article is one of the first ones I received, and I still have it. That article set the bar rather high for the quality of climbers' writing.

Thanks for the inspiration your articles -- and the stories handed down to us -- gave to me.
