No need to belay at this point, the leader is gonna ground out regardless unless he gets in another piece.

P.S. It's possible I may know the guy in the last photo. If it's not him, I definitely knew a character who did similar stuff. He was also very good at setting up portaledges five feet off the deck in JT!

hahahaha! Couple of those are me on lead, with Sooze cowering below! SteelMonkey is the graphics guy on those.

Edit: that is NOT me in the bottom pic. I think that one is a Crotch pic, and is one for the ages.

considering that the guy is gonna deck anyway, what's the big deal? If I was belaying I'd have a cervesa in hand

Fixed credits in Belayer photos to attribute Steelmonkey.

A screamer in the bottom one.... that may be my guy! Total gearhound. Had five of everything every invented. Knew a lot of technique but never actual saw him climb much. Well, the one time we actually did a climb together he followed me up James Brown in JT. I seem to recall some wimpering from down below. Not sure if he actually made it up. Nice enough guy, though. Come to think of it, he was missing one piece of gear: an armchair!
