A sutpid story.
One day when I was much younger and teaching myself to climb ice, I bouldered a few moves up an icecycle outside of CO Springs. Lowe and behold, I soon found myself pretty high off the deck.
So there I am. Frick. Go down or go up? Suddenley the words from jello's account of his acsent of bridalveil registered in my mind.
Jeff, you have inspired many, but on that day your words and philosphy kept me alive.

Call me the late Jeff Lowe. Not because I'm dead or nearly so, but because I'm moving so slow I can't seem to allow enough time to get anywhere on time. So, here I am, four days late to say thank you to all you generous well-wishers... well...

I've been out in CA visiting my daughter and granddaughter in their new digs. Sonja earned her MBA in marketing from DU last June, and landed a good job with great bennies with a big company. So this was a really happy time for me, to see her taking control of her life, and giving little Val a stable platform for hers. I am impressed and feel truly blessed.
Felicitations to all my ST buds and buddets..may all your climbs be grand adventures from which you return safely home.

I've been to several of Jeff's birthday parties, the last one with his daughter and grand-daughter at his sister's place last sunday.
I hope I can go to a few more.
It occurred to me today why Jeff likes "word" jokes so much.
With other types of jokes there is always a victim, a butt of the joke, but with word jokes the victim is only the language. Jeff is a kind hearted guy who likes to laugh, but not at people.
Here is to you my friend, you continue to inspire.
