Plus they have built in crampons and can dyno six times their body length. No wonder they feel superior.

The more "p---y" the better!!!...

The only kind some of us dirtbags will ever lay eyes on ;D

I'd take a misbehaving cat at the crag over a misbehaving dog any ol' day of the week.

Leave your cats at home.
I do.

If one more cat sticks its butthole in my face, coughs up a hairball on my rope, rejects my food offerings, tries to cuddle, purrs, swats at cragdogs, etc. ..

All while I'm trying to enjoy a nice day of climbing with boomboxes, cigarettes, beta sprayers, babies, and Harleys...
I'm gonna f*#king snap!!!

Please leave your cats at home.
I do.

No way. I think there should be more cats at the crags.

Oh don't eeeven get me started.
Buttermilk Country.
You know how the landings are all nice and sandy?
CATBOX! Like, the most beautiful catbox in the world.
Little craters and mounds all over the place and cats, cats, cats EVERYWHERE!
The f*#king meowing was so deafening I had to double up on beanies.
One cat straight jumped into one of Chinchin's bitchin chalk buckets and pissed in there!
Cats have some nerve.

I wish other cat owners would do the right thing and leave them at home like I do.

The crag is no place for cats!

Here's a story.
I was at Mt Charleston, the way hyped limestone area near Vegas that at the time held many of the hardest or hyped sportclimbs in the US. This was mid-late 90s.
Big name climbers had to go there because it was killer and a requisite for resumé building.
One such flavor of the month poster boy and his oft photo'd girlfriend(ironically now one of the most beautiful trad climbing patagucci gals) were there in their motor home and they traveled with a cragcat.
First cragcat i'd ever met. Cool!
Anyway, the next day we hiked up to the cave with cragcat and it was all shˇts and giggles. Doggin steep drilled pockets in the mountains.
Then there's some commotion comimg up the trail- a boombox. Then a couple dogs. Pitbulls.
It was one of the hot local developers.
Chaos ensued when the Pits saw the cat and pretty soon the dogs had treed the cat in an 80ft snag.
Let me tell you, watching a 5.14 climber trying to climb a tall dead pinetree to retrieve cragcat was classic!
And the exchanges between posterboy and local were hillarious.

Cragcat was cool but that's where it all started for me...
Leave the cats at home.

Was climbing one weekend with the Original Crag Cat - Herb Laeger's Panther. Panther would roam all day and night. In the morning there would be rows of dead mice lined up from which you were to choose one or more for breakfast. One weekend we get back to the car after climbing at Courtwright Resevoir but the cat is a no show. We wait for a couple hours but still a no show. Three weeks later the cat shows up at the Wishon Store!!!! Now that was a crag cat!

Catchy idea: Kittie litters for any occasion, rescues or just sitting there Chesire-ing.

If a cat was inclined to try climbing shoes, which brand? Puma?

Miaows from Merced, who really does love kitties, despite the nickname.

Snow Leopard, dude.

I see no problem bringng cats to the crag. They're very good climbers. We could let them lead the hard pitches.

Leave the effing Pitbulls at home, RULE #1. Pitbull owners should probably stay home as well and mind the meth lab.

Cats may or may not be advisable at the crags.

Ask Herb and Eve Lager.

I remember one time at Dome Rk..... Their cat was out and climbed up into a large pine. I had to leave before they got her down but...

Most cats I know would just sit up there to make you sweat and then when the sun was just about down...it MIGHT slowly down climb with much stretching.

Good luck with that.
