The conservative Repuiblican spokesman Ted Nugent accused the Supreme Court of not believing in the U.S. Constitution, and made veiled death threats against the President if Obama is re-elected.

Does anyone besides me see the hipocrisy?

Ted is an interesting dude.

Top 5 Things you might not know about The Nuge:

1. He's a pedophile. Aside from getting blown by Courtney Love when she was 12 years old (he was 28), he also got guardianship of his 17yo groupie girlfriend so he could take her across state lines and screw her.

2. He's a draft dodger. That's right, this fine Patriot and gun fetishist was such a manly tough guy that he literally pissed and sh#t in his pants for a solid week, and didn't bathe or perform and personal hygiene for a month leading up to his physical for Vietnam.

3. He's a liar. Part of his schtick is claiming some kind of moral superiority to his contemporaries, claiming to never have done drugs (nevermind the pedophilia), in direct contrast to the claims of others who toured with him.

4. He's an insecure ego maniac. Threatened by anyone else having the spotlight, he pushed out the original vocalist because he was getting too much attention and took over the singing himself, despite the vocalist being miles better.

5. The solo on Stranglehold was one take, done while recording the rhythm track...he just kept playing, it wasn't even intended as a take for the solo.

Nice ball tickler you're runnin' there, Ted:

Ron.. when you say it like this, you are basically saying that its no big deal that he got a blow job from her at age 12 because she was already doing it, so she was just a slut and it is no big deal. You may not mean that, but that is how it sounds.

In 1973 a local concert promoter came to our high school journalism class. He was wanting someone to come to a show backstage and interview Ted Nugent and Brownsville Station. Everyone just sat there, so I raised my hand.

It was a really interesting evening. You just had to like the guys from Brownsville Station. They were out having the time of their lives touring with their big hit Smoking in the Boy's Room. They were the headline that night. I got to talk with them as they warmed up for the show.

ted was an interesting fellow. he told me he'd just been exonerated for killing a guy who'd knifed his dog and broken into the front door. While he was the Motor City Madman onstage, he was straight backstage.

It was fun interviewing him, I was a big fan of the Amboy Dukes.

I don't defend them as adults either, but as children I find it reprehensible that someone would have sex with them at 12 years of age, even if they were asking for it. That is the excuse pedophiles use.

How is Obama's desire to change the constitution abuse of the constitution? As Bob points out, the constitution has been changed. It is legal to do so according to the constitution.

Also, you have to admit that even if people were doing all sorts of things to avoid the draft during that war, what nugent did was pretty extreme.

With all his macho posing, Ted Nugent strikes me as a ranting, insecure, highly anxious, emotionally-stunted child. Mature adults just don't do what he did.

On another note, it sure is interesting to see the contrasting reactions to the Dixie Chicks' pretty benign statement about being embarrassed to be from the state G Bush was from, and the supportive screaming from the emotionally-stunted crowd over Nugent's not so subtle death threats.

Not a whole lot of rational anything going on here.

I agree that Obama is a disappointment. But more because he has not done much to help with healthcare or get us out of afghanistan. So how would having voted for McCain have made that better? Or how would voting for Romney improve on anything Obama is doing? I am very interested in your answer, because I see Obama getting a lot of blame for what Bush did, and very little credit, simply because he isn't as strong as we would like.

LOLOL!!!111:

Mitt Romney endorser Ted Nugent will meet with the Secret Service Thursday as a followup to his incendiary comments at an NRA convention over the weekend. In an interview with Glenn Beck, Nugent again said the comments were not meant as a threat to anyone..."

“We actually have heard from the Secret Service and they have a duty. I support them. I salute them. And I look forward to our meeting tomorrow,” he said. “I‘m sure we’ll have a great conversation…bottom line is, I‘ve never threatened anybody’s life in my life. I’ve never threatened. I don’t waste breath threatening.”

He continued, going on to reiterate his respect for the law enforcement officials.

“We’re going to have a little barbecue get together,” he said. “And I’m not trying to diminish the seriousness of this, because if the Secret Service are doing it they are serious. They are dedicated and I will be as polite and supportive as I possibly can be, which will be thoroughly.”

John, the fact is, these people do become a de facto voice for their Party. In Nugent's case, he is courted by Tea Partiers to speak at political rallies. That's politics, and that is a voice for their party.

Your view that only those in office have a voice that should be considered is an honorable one, but not particularly based in reality. What's equally interesting is how those in office oftentimes won't disavow or at least distance themselves from some of the really grimy comments that some of these whackos will make.

I guess many Dems/libs will have to give up the Ramones now too;

I think most conservative repubs would be more appalled to find that Dee Dee, who wrote most of the Ramones songs that were worth a damn, was a junky and at one time a male prostitute.

I'd say that the 95% figure is inaccurate.

But if Jim wants to start up some sh#t in a political thread and direct it towards me directly, well then, the f*#king game is on. Don't make excuses for the great old-timer. He can take care of himself.

in the late 70's he played at Kemper Arena in Kansas City. I was in high school at the time. I guess Ted was totally rocking out when someone with a wrist-rocket shot a large steel ball bearing at his face. It was spot on aiming striking Nugent squarely in the mouth. This thread is hilarious, I can't believe I ate the... excuse me... I can't believe I read the whole thing. Ted Nugent is so... yesterday. One of my nephews (Michael), more like a younger brother (five years younger) has fallen out with me a couple of times. I am a lib, he is a... certainly not a liberal

I never voted for Clinton, but I saw the agenda against him, and Michael and I talked on the phone several times (me in Ireland, he in Cali) about the impeachment, and then he decided to disown me (sheesh, we use to party together) because I did not agree with him. And the ironic thing is, my brother (his father) is also a lib.

Anyway, Michael shut me down, communications wise. I kept the line open but he would block my emails, while I would get "Nugent rant" emails from Michael. I told my brother that I am trying (this in 1998/99 or so) to keep the channels open.

We made peace at my mom's funeral in 2007.

But he has since taken the hump with me, again, over politics. And he still sends me that damn Nugent BS.

Ron Anderson, Why do you repeat that hoary myth about returning troops getting spit on? Did you witness that? Did somebody who was protesting the war actually get close enough to a GI stepping off a plane coming home, to physically spit on them? Or are you speaking metaphorically? Did someone maybe huck a poorly timed loogie in the general direction of some military personnel? I really want to know!

I was protesting the war starting in 1965 (at age 10) and never saw or heard of that happening. In fact nobody with whom I spoke ever suggested doing anything remotely resembling that. As far as I can tell, that is a blatant distortion of history in an attempt to portray those who were against the war as unpatriotic.

If you actually witnessed that happening I will change my opinion, but as of now I regard that oft repeated claim as propaganda, not fact.

From Snopes.com, the urban myth debunkers

GIs landed at military airbases, not civilian airports, and protesters could not have gotten onto the bases and anywhere near deplaning troops. There may have been exceptions, of course, but in those cases how would protesters have known in advance that a plane was being diverted to a civilian site?

And even then, returnees would have been immediately bused to nearby military installations and processed for reassignment or discharge.http://message.snopes.com/showthread.php?t=2360

And from the Vietnam Veterans Against the War web site

Stories of spat-upon Vietnam veterans are bogus.

Born out of accusations made by the Nixon administration, they were enlivened in popular culture (recall Rambo saying he was spat on by those maggots at the airport) and enhanced in the imaginations of Vietnam-generation men — some veterans, some not. The stories besmirch the reputation of the anti-war movement and help construct an alibi for why we lost the war: had it not been for the betrayal by liberals in Washington and radicals in the street, we could have defeated the Vietnamese. The stories also erase from public memory the image, discomforting to some Americans, of Vietnam veterans who helped end the carnage they had been part of.

The facsimiles of spat-upon veteran stories that are surfacing now confuse the public dialogue surrounding the war. Debate about the war itself and the politics that got us into it is being displaced by the phony issue of who supports the troops. Everyone supports the troops and wishes them a safe and speedy homecoming. It's the mission they have been sent on that is dividing the nation and it is the mission that we have a right and obligation to question.

The "support the troops" symbolism also comes with a hidden agenda, a subtext that is about the anti-war movement. Understandably, the war brings a lot of emotion to the surface and some of that feeling stems from frustration with the economy, a sense of helplessness in the face of large-scale social and technological change, and fear that cherished American values are being lost. For some people, the real war is the war at home and the enemy coalition comes bundled for them in the anti-war movement. The redirection of their legitimate anger about the deteriorating quality of life in America onto peace activists is shortsighted scapegoating that won't solve problems.

The truth is that nobody spat on Vietnam veterans and nobody is spitting on the soldiers today. Attempts to silence opponents of the war with those figments of hostility are dishonest and should, themselves, be banished from our discourse.

Ted Nugent is weak sauce. He came to play at our college back in 1981 with Sammy Hagar as the back up band. I worked as a stage hand, and Sammy talked with me, asked questions, and was such a cool guy. Nugent was a arrogant prick. Sammy opened and rocked the place to the ground. Nugent got up and tried to follow Sammy, but was lame, no energy, same heavy guitar lycs, boring.
Moral of that story: Never let Sammy Hagar open a concert for you, especially if you are lame ass dick dragger like Ted Nugent.

AP:

With hunting, Nugent has run afoul of the law before.

In August 2010, California revoked Nugent's deer hunting license after he pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of deer-baiting and not having a properly signed tag.

Nugent's loss of that deer hunting license through June 2012 allows 34 other states to revoke the same privilege under the Interstate Wildlife Violator Compact. Each state, however, can interpret and enforce the agreement differently.

well to put the arrow-wounding thing into real perspective,,,HUNDREDS of animals are wounded every year by stick hunters. Many survive the wounds, some dont. Not ONE hunter i know ever punched his tag because he nicked a deer and it ran off...The system doesnt work like that and in fact the tags have to ID the animal through points of the rack, no animal, no ID, no punched tag.

Ron, my take is that there is a big difference between "nicked" "wounded" and "fatally wounded".

I "nick" myself often considering how many different ways I use knives.

But Good Ol Boy Ted wouldn't be taking a plea if the man didn't have something on him. Innocent people don't take plea deals, the system doesn't work like that. Well, belay that. VERY rarely, and high profile Ted and his man WAR certainly wouldn't do it if it weren't necessary.

I don't believe that Ted ever claimed to be GREAT just having fun making some noise...

"...just having fun making some noise.

Some sort of fun, eh.

Howdy Steve, I didn’t say that Nugent thinks he is a great rocker/musician, though I can only guess he MAY think so.

What I wrote was:

Ted, you are an old act and IMO, never that great of musician.

Steve, I’m sure you know what IMO means, and that is exactly what I think. Sure I liked Wango Tango and Cat Scratch Fever. IMO, not great pieces but they were alright.

From Wikipedia:

"Wango Tango" is the title of a song written and recorded by American rock musician Ted Nugent.[1] The song peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 at 86.[2] It was ranked seventh on Guitar World 's list of the "100 Worst Guitar Solos".[3]

Seventh? Well, everybody has their own personal tastes when it comes to music, though I'd put it closer to number one.

I think that Mitt will beat the odds {or is that the oddballs, like Teddy Boy? ;-) heh heh} and actually gain the WH, then America is really in deep shite (could even be Ted’s shite if he let his knickers down).

But perhaps as POTUS, Mitt could make Teddy Boy Secretary of the Arts. Wouldn’t that be hilarious. NOT.

Why do I think Romney will win next November? Contrary to some people’s opinions, a lot of the media in the US is right-wing or at least have right-wing agendas (ie Faux News, watched – and believed - by loads of Americans. Yeah right, “Fair and Balanced”, is that an oxymoron or what, sort of like the George Bush Center for Intelligence, though Papa and Jeb may have some sort of intelligence), and while politics is a dirty business (especially if you unload in your pants), the Republicans have proven to be far more effective at dirty politics, mud slinging and innuendo.

They'll get the necessary votes from that archaic institution, the Electoral College.

Again, if Mitt gains the White House, the ‘average’ American will be in Deep Kimchi.

Of course, just my opinion.

RE: Riley Wyna Apr 20, 2012 - 04:00pm PT

I believe all rapists and pedophiles should be killed.
No hyperbole involved...

Riley, being a person who has always been torn on the death penalty issue, as I think there are some monsters out there that deserve to be erased, but then, even just one innocent person executed is a total injustice...

Yet, I find myself in a situation where I have been caring for my partner, who was abused by her father when she was young. I see the pain and anguish of my partner, that she wishes she was dead at times, hating her father, loving and hating her mother (because she tried to protect my partner on the one hand, but then in my partner's eyes sometimes she doesn't think that her mother did enough).

I have seen first hand the hell that an abused child can go through in later life. The abuse is a life sentence for hell, whether the victim comes to grips with it or not in later years, it is still a hell they are living.

So, putting aside my liberal tendencies, yes pedophiles should be put in a living hell like their victims suffer. That is my take on it. If there is no doubt of the guilt of a pedophile, put them down so they cannot ever cause misery again to another innocent, and I do not care what the perpetrator may have gone through in their own childhood.

My late sister was abused when she was five by an aunt's husband, and I saw how it tore her apart in later years, indeed, sort of making her a monster towards our mother, who she blamed for not protecting her from the 'uncle', though my mother did not know about the abuse until years later.

If there is 'irrefutable' evidence that the perpetrator did the deed, rape (which includes pedophilia IMO), then they deserve to be sentenced to the lowest level of Hell. No mercy.

Today my partner has been at her 'worse'. I have had to lock away all the knives in the house. It is extremely sad to see such a lovely person consumed at times with self-hatred that wasn't her doing.

Tomorrow I will probably have to make the most serious and saddest decision in my life, telling the authorities that I can no longer cope with being my partner's full-time carer. Which means state care for her for the rest of her life. Believe me I have tried to give her a good life after she came out of hospital almost two years ago.

But I am at wit's end. Her suffering is due to a pedophile, and most extremely, her own father. Sick. He is long dead but he still haunts her from his grave.

I have no clue what the person's (whom this thread is about) transgressions are with underage people, or indeed unwilling women, so I cannot pass judgment on him, even if it was my place to do so. I would have to assume that unless he was convicted of such that he is "innocent" unless proved guilty (disclaimer).

All I know is that I have seen two women close to me suffer from the actions of childhood abuse. Pedophiles belong in Hell.

EDIT

She is in pretty good form now, which will make my decision all the more difficult. Sometimes she is 'normal', but when she is in the 'down mode', I do not think that I have the experience/expertise to deal with such moments, that she needs professional care, which probably means... no freedom as such, perhaps even institutionalized, and she DOES NOT deserve such a fate. She is a lovely woman who has already had an husband (1990) and later a partner (2004) die of cancer, and she took care of them until they needed hospice care.

I don't know what to do.

To paraphrase Steppenwolf's "Goddamn the Pusherman", ..."Goddamn the Pedophile".

There are worse things in this world than poaching animals (appalling in itself), or whipping up a fervor of hatred against a president/politicians/people (total ignorance). Sexually abusing children, and indeed anybody, has to rank among the worse evil deeds a sicko can do.

If the person that this thread is about did indeed abuse a child (by the letter of the law, another disclaimer hopefully), he should be tarred and feathered, shot and hung and drawn and quartered.

Better yet, throw him off Half Dome. No, that would just cause a mess for others. To Hell With Him.

No Mercy For Sickos-Psychos. May they rot in Hell.

Yahoo News; The Motor City Madman insisted that he is "not provocative" compared with liberals and the media.

"I'm almost like a little puppy dog compared to these monsters," Nugent said, adding that "the left hates me" because "I promote the right to self defense."

Nugent cited Fort Knox's decision to cancel his June concert at the Kentucky post as one example of how "bread dead" liberals are "out to get" him.

"When I hear the political correctness that has somehow metastasized into the decision makers of the military, I was really let down that political correctness has any role at all in the military," he said.

Commanders at Fort Knox announced earlier this week that were eliminating Nugent from their annual summer concert because of his comments about President Obama.

While Nugent has endorsed Romney, the Detroit rocker said Friday that his first pick for president was Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who dropped out of the race in January.

"I wish he was the president right now, man!" Nugent told the Texas Tribune. "My problems would be over. "

Teddy is a bit whacked here in his fear of liberals... perhaps he has never heard of the chain of command or does not understand how it works? This had absolutly nothing to do with polotics, freedom of speach or dumbed down PC thinking. It is simply time honored conservative upholding of Military Disiplin. Bad mouthing or threatening the President in the military is no different than bad mouthing the commanding general of the army, the commander of the division, the base commander, the regiment commander, the batallion commander right on down to your platoon comander. Publicly go after any of these people above you in rank and your head will have to roll. It is the only way to keep military diciplin. It has always been this way. When Humpfery sacked McCarther it was a stiff reminder to the military of how the chain of command works. Same thing happened to McCrystal. Recently the marine who thought he could blog against the president found out that in the military the rules of the chain of command trump free speech any day of the week. The Ft Knox base commander had no choice but to can Teddy simply out of respect for the chain of command and the oath he has taken to protect the president.

Funny how the repugs are too stupid to even know this simple stuff......

Ted, I will always defend your right to be a loud mouth jerk, but you are still a loud mouth jerk

Dipshit Nugent wishes the South would have won.

Why? Because Roberts did the right thing on Health care. That and the fact that the White House isn't really white (which is the unsaid elephant in the Elephants' room).

That White Trash draft dodger calls Robert a "traitor."

Bluering loves the guy.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/jul/5/turncoat-roberts/

Because our legislative, judicial and executive branches of government hold the 10th Amendment in contempt, I’m beginning to wonder if it would have been best had the South won the Civil War. Our Founding Fathers’ concept of limited government is dead.

"... if I would have gone over there, I'd have been killed, or I'd have killed, or I'd kill all the hippies in the foxholes ... I would have killed everybody," he told the Detroit Free Press in an interview published July 15, 1990."

ted nugent single-handedly took out a japanese machine gun emplacement on iwo jima before making himself inegible for the viet nam draft. He had seen so much bloodshed and carnage that the thought of fighting in the verdant green jungles of SE Asia sickened him to the point of defecating in his pants and refusing to bathe so that he wouldn't have to fight any more asians. However, he has no problem with others killing Iraqis and Afghanis because they are a total threat to the U.S. It bothers him because shooting animals in a fenced-in enclosures is very American and that sh#t doesn't happen in Afghanistan or Iraq.

We forgive him, because Ted and his drummer are more American than we are.

BANGOR, Maine (AP) — A drummer for classic rocker Ted Nugent faces several charges after police in Bangor, Maine, say he was seen driving drunk in a golf cart stolen from a concert venue.

Officers working at Nugent's Sunday night concert were told that 55-year-old Mick Brown was intoxicated, had stolen the cart and was driving it recklessly on a foot path. Police say when officers tried to stop the cart, Brown sped past them and shoved a security officer. Two security officers then removed Brown from the cart, and he was arrested.

Brown, of Cave Creek, Ariz., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving to endanger, theft and assault. He was released on $4,000 bail.

Ruh-roh.

You know the Nuge might have gone too far when even gun nights are calling for his ouster from the NRA Board.

Nugent, an outspoken Second Amendment advocate, posted a photo on Facebook this week calling Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), “Jew York City Mayor Mikey Bloomberg,” former senator Carl Levin (D-Mich.) and Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz, among many others, “punks” who would “deny us the basic human right to self defense and to keep and bear arms while many of them have paid hired armed security.”

The Israeli flag appears over or next to each of the 12 faces in the photo, which is the same one that has been shared many times in white supremacist circles, according to the Anti-Defamation League.

You probably already know this Survival, but macho man Ted crapped his pants for a week without changing before going into his physical so's he could 4F out. Ted being a "dick" is a huge understatement. And I believe he can't call on drug abuse as an excuse either.
