Actually, REI is about the last point of empirical data I would ever rely on. How much they sell makes no difference. I certainly would be in no hurry to trust anything their staff may have to say about technical climbing gear.
Either way, this thread has all the hallmarks of a full blown sh#t fest...

I recently taught Richard Branson to do aerial dance handstands on the side of the Spaceport in New Mexico...Don't know nothing about BD QC though.

With all due respect Scott, just curious if you run ANY BD gear these days? I don't use their crampons or harness, but I've never had any issues with any of the BD gear I do use. I like the new design and size range of the camalot, I like the oz biner (alot) and the ice screws I have been using for some 10 years now (other than a couple need to be sharpend) are killer.

Since you have opted to air this issue with BD on a public internet forum, why don't you just tell us what the specific problems are with BD equipment? At least that way you may get some reply from someone qualified to reply.
