wow, it's so amazing to see no political threads on the front page, awesome!

after watching Chris Mac's video, I thought I'd post some of my favorite climbing photos, not necessarily of people climbing (since mine are always butt shots or cramped pics at belays) but other photos that capture why climbing is so fun!

Sh#t yeah! Climbing shots! Love that dike shot Adrian, can you tag the route and location underneath the pic? It sort of looks like Snake Dike, but clearly isn't.

Anxious Melancholy?

The 1st photo you posted in this thread??

How ancient is that shot of SE side of Gannet Peak???

Here's a shot of the SE side of Gannett, from up towards The Sphinx. We climbed the narrow finger of snow, went up & right a little and scrambled to the summit.

Never have found that variation in a guidebook. We just were not into sending in routes to "The Establishment---AAJ" in our youth.

Fritz,
Pic of Gannet was from July, 2007, taken from the slopes of Mt Warren.

And for those that might be curious, the others from my previous post in this hread, in order, were "Bobo" in AZ, Squaw Peak in the KOFA NWR which is also in AZ, and Mt. Aspiring in NZ.

And now? A little European sojourn.

Plaidman bump as he's sitting in the valley staring a the closed sign. He sent that line a bit ago and it's pretty kick ass cobblishisus. However, it's in the wet spot of Oregon, and at 4400 feet elevation, it's generally cold up there. Here's a close up pic of Ben Priestly on the cobbles, you can see the humoungous bolts. I think those suckers are 7" long:
