From the Libertarian POV, the current DnR paradigm is exactly like the half white/half black dudes from old Star Trek. They scream at us to notice how different they are from each other, but in actuality....

The machine -which includes Big Media- is in high gear demonizing Snowden right now, when in actuality he made an enormous personal sacrifice to show us the monstrosity they are building.

Never accept "You have to Trust Us" from any government. Not at least without a goddamned good and compelling reason why and real and significant checks and balances. Everything the government does, regardless of intent, is ultimately backed up with the threat of force supported by guns.

Before you reactively condemn Libertarians, study both the Non Aggression Principle (NAP) as well as what the creation of the Fed Reserve has done to us.

And to the NSA guy reading my post b/c of some keywords, f*#k you.

Norton, a black colleague of mine explained to me why some blacks will always vote for Republicans (although declining each year): Lincoln freed the slaves.

Of course, at that time, the Repubs were the liberals, and the Democrats were the Conservatives, and that is lost on many people.

And in the remaining 10% of those posts, Werner has used the word "stupid" 358 times. Of course, 87% of all statistics are simply made up...

Well, all the knee jerk reactionary right wingers were wrong
Issa has been caught lying, and he hoped that the truth would never be found

but too bad for him, we now know the REAL truth....

It was Rove and his Conservative Republican cronies.. which included the head of the IRS

That wanted to shut down the crazy tea baggars, before they did any more damage to the party brand. They already lost numerous seats because of their radical ideology, Rove was doing it for the good of the Party!!!

The real culprit behind the IRS “scandal”: Rove!

11:07 AM 06/04/2013

Bad news, teabaggers. You thought you were going to get away with your phony little “scandalanche,” because you hate Obama, because he’s black. But you overreached, and now it’s all falling apart, and there’s nothing you can do about it. Ha ha ha!

Mark Segal at Philly.com tears the roof off your house of lies, you wingnuts:

Are Karl Rove & GOP behind IRS scandal?

We know the Republican Congress is in a tizzy about the IRS looking into requests for IRS Tax exemptions for organizations named “Tea Party” and other conservative labels. They even had some hearings on them, attempting to tie the White House and President Obama to the scene. But as hard as they try, they simply cannot, since the White House had no knowledge of the incidents until told by the Inspector General. But wait. If President Obama, the White House and Democrats had nothing to do with something that seems so political, what about the Republicans?

Are you following the logic, you stupid birthers? Read it again if you need to. It’s okay to move your lips.

Rather than the guessing game that the Republican Congress wants to play, let’s take a look at the facts, firstly from the hearings themselves. Democrats were not allowed to have any information gathered by the committee’s staff or the list of witnesses in advance. That is highly unusual in a Congressional hearing. Why all the Republican control? To further the point, last week an eye opening report revealed that Congressman Darrell Issa, the House Oversight Committee chairman who made all the charges against the White House, actually knew about the Inspector General’s report before them, the people he was accusing. Remember that this is the same committee that falsified White House emails during the hearings on Benghazi.

Yes, remember that! Don’t ask whether it actually happened, because it didn’t. Just remember it. Remember it as if it were true. That’s the whole key to understanding this.

Second, let’s take a look at the questions asked during those hearings, specifically the questions that were not asked. While they searched for a White House link, the committee never asked about any connections to Republican operatives. Not one question. Why?

Simple: Republicans are evil. Duh!

And now, the most damning possible piece of evidence:

The man in charge of the IRS when this took place was a Bush appointee, Douglas Shulman, at the same time that Karl Rove worked in the White House and Dick Cheney was Vice President.

BAM! BOOM! Awww, $#!+. It’s all over, racists. You might recognize what just got handed to you, because it’s your own ass. (You might want to watch the carbs. Just sayin’.)

Too bad, so sad. It’s not a scandal, and besides, the scandal is all your fault.

Ann Coulter Has Excellent Advice For Repubs

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/19/ann-coulter-win-latino-vo_n_3466141.html

The key to winning the Latino vote is rejecting immigration reform, conservative pundit Ann Coulter said Tuesday.

Coulter offered her advice during an appearance on Fox News personality Sean Hannity’s radio show, where she continued to rail against the possibility of a bipartisan immigration reform bill passing the U.S. Congress

“We can win Hispanics,” Coulter said. “We can’t win them if we keep bringing in the foreign ones.”

Coulter’s been on a Latino-bashing binge since Obama’s reelection in November, painting Hispanics and Latin American immigrants as dimwitted and welfare-dependent in a spate of error-laden columns and media appearances.

Here's hoping they take her advice!

Republicans hate the socialists, and the trade Unions, and the Jews...

Just a reminder that Hitler was not a socialist, but a Fascist, and the first tick list on his agenda was to get rid of the hated liberal/progressive/intellectual/socialists, just like the republicans

Why? because they are the only ones smart enough to catch on to their scam.

Martin Niemöller: "First they came for the Socialists..."

Martin Niemöller, a prominent Protestant pastor who opposed the Nazi regime. He spent the last seven years of Nazi rule in concentration camps. Germany, 1937.

Martin Niemöller (1892-1984) was a prominent Protestant pastor who emerged as an outspoken public foe of Adolf Hitler and spent the last seven years of Nazi rule in concentration camps.

Niemöller is perhaps best remembered for the quotation:

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

Obama Climate Change Strategy Coming Within Weeks, Adviser Says

Reuters | Posted: 06/19/2013 1:44 pm EDT | Updated: 06/19/2013 6:24 pm EDT

By Valerie Volcovici
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/19/obama-climate-change_n_3467272.html

WASHINGTON, June 19 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama will target carbon emissions from power plants as part of a second-term climate change agenda expected to be rolled out in the next few weeks, his top energy and climate adviser said on Wednesday.

Obama will take several steps to make tackling climate change a "second-term priority" that builds on first-term policies, Heather Zichal, deputy assistant to the president for energy and climate change, said at a forum sponsored by the New Republic magazine.

"In the near term we are very much focused on the power plant piece of the equation," she said.

On Wednesday in Berlin, Obama said the United States understood it had to do more to fight climate change and he pledged that more action was coming.

"Our dangerous carbon emissions have come down, but we know we have to do more. And we will do more," he said in a speech.

The president is expected to announce new U.S. measures to fight global warming in the coming weeks.

Zichal confirmed that an announcement is expected in weeks and highlighted moves that will shape Obama's agenda but not require new funding or legislation by Congress.

She said the administration plans to expand energy efficiency standards for appliances, accelerate clean energy development on public lands and use the Clean Air Act to tackle greenhouse gas emissions in the power and energy sectors.

The Environmental Protection Agency is working to finish carbon emissions standards for new power plants. It is then expected to tackle regulations on existing power plants.

Zichal said that part of the Democratic president's strategy will be to depoliticize the issue of climate policy, which led to bitter partisan fights during his first term.

One item off the agenda is a tax on carbon emitters, she said, a move strenuously opposed by many Republicans in Congress.

Zichal added that climate change is often a less divisive subject at the state level, with some Republicans setting policies that address climate change and attempt to reduce emissions.

"Washington needs to catch up to the rest of the nation on this issue," she said. "It's time to turn this issue from a red state-blue state issue into an American issue." (Reporting by Valerie Volcovici; Editing by Ros Krasny and Xavier Briand)
