Was there a follow up story where the Marine was brought up on assault and misconduct charges? Dont you get in serious sh#t trouble punching people out while currently enlisted in the military? That anecdote is horseshit at best.

Soros and the other Left Leaning Billionaires put their money to causes to help millions of other people

The Koch Brothers put their money directly into causes that destroy our Democracy, pump more billions into their pockets, and to deregulate their businesses into having more "Freedom" to pollute the air and water, to pay less in wages, and outsource American Jobs.

Everything they do IS PURE EVIL, they are the Evil Villains controlling the Top Ranks of the Republican Party, nothing they do is helpful, It's all Bad.
Paul Ryan is one of their primary tools in Congress.

I'm merely calling bullshit on a fantasy tale being presented as a factual account. Nothing politically correct or sterile about it. Why not make the
"professor" a gay muslim pansexual as well.

Conservatives are much better than liberals at making up "parables" to prove their points or embarrass their perceived or real enemies. Then their fellow conservatives love to pass on the false parables, because they feel sooooo-good when they read them.

Here's a quote from Snopes.com on the subject of atheist professors and Christian students overcoming them.

These are tales of affirmation, modern-day parables of trials overcome and fierce adversaries bested by those who held fast to what they believed in, even in the face of ridicule rained down by authority figures. Like parables, they are meant to inspire similar resolve in those with whom they are shared: should those members of the flock ever find themselves in like circumstances, they should feel moved to emulate the brave students of legend who stood up to the atheist professors.
Read more at http://www.snopes.com/religion/einstein.asp#XuuZabAkxTww0sQj.99[/quote]

There are scads of rightwing parables made up about the favorite bugbears of the right wing, Jane Fonda & Bill Clinton. Of course when proof is produced that the supposed incident never happened, an inevitable retort is:

"Well, it could have happened, or should have happened."

The Republicans are better able to make up talking points fabricated in Right Wing Think Tanks that are based on BS, out of context statements and bold faced lies.
But the Republican voters don't care, they will never hear the facts behind the lies, they just eat them up because it's all about bashing the enemy, and those talking points are specifically designed to get people like BlueRing to get a willy over.

That's why he like the most blatant liars, like Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, Allen West, and Breitbart, the ones that just pander to the lowest common denominator of evil.

Is distributing lies that make the other side look bad evil?
Is eating up those lies and spewing them back as facts evil?

These are important questions to ponder.

It is evil to divide the sides up using lies, since one side is dealing with facts, and the other side pushed by pure emotion to hate the side based purely on lies
That's what Nazi Germany did, and it's happening here as we speak.

It's interesting me that one who is worried so much about tyranny also celebrates beating someone up for their beliefs (fictional or not). That attitude is the very anti-thesis of the 1st Amendment - the very heart of Bill of Rights.

Unfortunately, I've found that the celebration of such violence and a pervasive, life destroying paranoia that one will someday be attacked (by terrorists, by thugs, by the State...) are often combative roommates trapped within the same troubled mind.

This type of personality is disturbingly common (and almost always highly vocal) in our society - and that seems to be fairly unique to America.

Destroying one's enemies is a titillating fantasy to a some afflicted with a victim mentality. In such a mind, enemies lurk behind every corner, bent on destroying all that is right and true and just.

The thought of simply not having enemies (most, if not all of which live only in a tempestuous imagination) seems beyond them. The idea of karma - our actions (including our posts) making the world a better or worse place may as well exist in another solar system.

Republicans love the emotional, not the factual. It is how their minds work.

Sad really.

You're being generous, Bob, in offering that Republicans actually have a mind these days.

Droids don't have minds. They just do what they are told to do by KochFauxNews.

There is no scientific evidence that Republicans are any more of less emotional (whatever that means) than any other group. There is scientific evidence of differences between conservatives and liberals in a few broad traits, like 'openness to new experiences' and 'Loyalty to tribe'.

The GOP does use emotional arguments because it often has neither sound science nor data to back up its assertions. For those who value loyalty and staying the course more highly, unspecific, emotional themes like 'patriotism' and 'Evil Doers' will resonate more than incite skepticism. For liberals, the opposite is true.

Religion - itself an unspecific and non-scientific belief system, plays a significant role. If you can believe in 'faith', you can believe in 'patriotism' without requiring that it be further reduced into something that has a more specific meaning than the emotional response it produces.

It's no secret that the more fundamentalist religious sects overwhelmingly choose to be represented by GOP candidates and ideas.

Or maybe Warren/Sanders?

I saw an interesting sign the other day: 'Condi can beat Hillary'

I hadn't heard Condi discussed much as a potential GOP '16 candidate (but I also don't follow whacknut Repug 'sources', either), however it was an interesting match-up.

If the gender card becomes a key element in the race, as much as I greatly prefer Warren, I have a feeling Hillary would pull in stronger votes.

If a Republican doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one.
If a Democrat doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.
If a Republican is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat.
If a Democrat is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.
If a Republican is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a Democrat is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.

If a Republican is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
If a Democrat is down-and-out he wonders who is going to take care of him.
If a Republican doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.
A Democrat demands that those they don't like be shut down.
If a Republican is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
A Democrat non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.

If a Republican decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
If a Democrat decides he needs health care, he demands that the rest of us pay for his.
If a Republican reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh.
A Democrat will delete it because he's "offended".

I would just like to point out that in Chief's story the professor got what he asked for. He was knocked off his stand. It would be up to him to prove that the military guy wasn't God, or at the least a representative of God. Something he couldn't do.

Therefore no basis for a lawsuit.

I don't believe the story is true, but it is funny.

you need to read The Republican Mind
It basically breaks it down why Republicans are Wrong about Everything

Tribalism, authoritarianism, bullying, warmongering, hypocritical to the core, and mostly confirmational bias from living in a bubble of pure lies and Talking Points
They are basically mentally disabled droids.
