What I find interesting is the cerebral and good feeling connection I have to someone I've never met and is no longer of corporeal body. Last Tuesday after work I got invited out by my buddies and did 16 hard laps at the local top rope spot. Chalking and smiling the entire time! It's even more uplifting than just climbing (sans chalk). Maybe its like the climbing is the cake, but this is some extra icing or filling which completes it that wasn't there before....that kind of thing.

And it just keeps going on and on too.

ps, sorry about all the extra chalk:-) Normally I don't use any, or rarely dip.....guess I'm making up for it now. Soon the rains will come and it too will be gone:-(

Paul was with me on the Coffin this morning. I don't carry a camera when I climb...

Like someone mentioned, chalk is a little more special when using the Disaster Master formula :-)

Paul was with us at Devils Lake yesterday.

We intended to do the easy 'Lost Face' route (5.6)
but I think he steered us into more challenging
territory as the TR I setup was better suited
for 'Lost Face Overhang I and II' (5.8).

Peace and Love to Paul's family and dear friends.

10/2/2011: Pictured Rocks park near Monticello, Iowa

Well just damn...!

I'm gonna have to actually start using chalk!! Never used it thus far, but now I seriously may have to use the stuff.

Paul needs to climb in the Southeast...

For some reason, my photos keep uploading sideways, even when they show normally in iPhoto. Being as I'm a bit of a dunce when it comes to this, this one will have to do.

Paul and I got some climbing in today at Red Rock, Panty and Hamlet Wall. A beautiful day to be out climbing!

The best chalk on the market saw a little action around Kermits and Perhaps at the 1st annual Trad-a-Palooza on Saturday.

And someone with a camera took some photos:
