I agree with Mr. Baba, I thought this whole thread was an elaborate post for golden shower enthusiasts.

I knew this post would be good for getting some laughs back! Thanks...

Jay Wood, I may have simplified the leftover beer situation. I think she had 5/8 of a beer left and I had 7/16th. The post was written after I came home from a wonderful Italian dinner in SF where I had consumed about 418 ml of good red wine, so I was a bit mathematically impaired at the time.

This sounds like another case where I'm glad I am more of a smoker than a drinker.

Jay- The wine ALWAYS gets finished! This is only a beer issue with me. Beer is only about a twice a year thing for me. It's just too darn filling. I admit to being a total lightweight in the beer department. To me, it's is more like a food group than an alcoholic beverage, and I'm just not a big eater, so if I had a whole beer and some cheese or some bar nuts, that would essentially be dinner.

Not that I'm a big drinker either, but when you think about it, beer may be the only alcoholic beverage that you have to drink in integers. Beer Integers may be OK for a real woman like Tami but too much for a wimp like me. I'm stickin' with beer fractions!

(not to Nature, it would be silly to ship an open beer to Arizona)

Phyl,

I'm glad we've had this little talk.

Actually, i know several (all women) fractional beer drinkers.

For the record, I would have been fine with the combined beer. It pains me to see unfinished pints tossed at the brewpub, especially since this is the best stuff, not something from a bottle.

I thought it was funny that your husband is more backwash-phobic than you, since us guys are often slobs. We all can have our pet issues- for instance I am slightly grossed out by finger licking page turning (and money counting!).

Throwing away perfectly good beer is the definition of alcohol abuse.

I have just consumed an entire bottle of beer. Yes it's only Corona, but I think this is an accomplishment. To my recollection, this is the first beer I have had in 2016.

Those who know my love of wine may require an explanation: I got up at 5 AM and flew cross country. Wanted some help with the shift in time zones and a wee glass of something is useful. One bottle of beer was all the alcohol in my sister's house.
Good night !

Haha Phyl. Awesome thread. As long as your pinky was up while drinking it, you haven't forsaken your love of wine.

Missed this the first time around, so I didn't comment then, but, since it's back on the front page...

It always baffles me that humans who will cheerfully engage in all kinds of sharing of body fluids get all worried about taking a sip from a bottle of beer someone else's lips have touched.

Weird.

You say "6% alcohol and half beer and half backwash" like it's a bad thing!

I know what you mean, though, the selection is good up there...
