What are you guys going to do if there's a hockey playoff game on?

ps Bruce, maybe those of us from Squamish and its southern suburb should carpool or something, if we can manage to be so coordinated.

One time... I was hiking up in the Eldred w/ a friend of mine.

It was the day of Canada/ U.S. olympic gold game.

We stood atop "Carag Dur" looking out over the valley.

I said to my buddy "y-know we're prob. the only two people in Canada NOT
watching the hockey game today"

He says... "there's a hockey game today?"

Yeah, guess it wasn't so important "up there"

cheers!

I was going to ask if this was still on in the wet, but it got answered already! See you tomorrow, and hope for dry weather...

Bringing a little blowtorch, so there can be some bouldering at the very least.

I still owe Colin & Christie a bottle of wine I mentioned a couple years ago, so you'll get it!

You hosers suck salmon eggs through your nose. That place looks way cool. Donini wouldn't bother, it looks too "slabby". Oh yeah,"a" keg?

Pouring rain in Vancouver this afternoon and tonight, and the weekend forecast is for showers and rain. We've had a damp, cold spring. Luckily Colin, Christie and crew set up a giant blue tarp at the campsite in the spring, and it's there for season. Which means that there's a fairly large dry area to congregate in, plus always a nice fire. So even if they can't do much trail work, a good time will be had by all.

Beer, rain and offwidth almost killed me. I think I'm still bleeding into my underwear. Not sure whether that was the OW or some sort of hemorrhaging. I'll find out when I hop in the shower, I guess.

Bottom line is, I hate the place, there were mosquitos, bears, drunks, conservation officers nearly booking one of our crew, dog fights, all sorts of fancy foods, and I missed the absinthe. I'm never going back. Until summer. Then until I move up there.

Psyche Slab trail is looking good, and so is the wall. Decked a bridge after 30 mins of debating the order to place 2x8's and 2x6's in. "Big, little, little, big, big? NO!!!!" Built a couple steps on the way up to prevent erosion, and cleared debris from the base among other things. I was far too busy/drunk/both to take many pictures.

Everyone was unbelievably awesome!!! Thanks for the hospitality, and great times. I look forward to making it back up, and yes Andy, I'll try to make a move up there as soon as it's feasible.

What a blast, the weather cooperated pretty well with the bulk of the rain friday night. Psyche slab trail was rebuilt where three seperate avalanches over the winter buried it in smashed fir trees. The eldred is on!
