WASHINGTON—Citing a sharp increase in casualties among combat troops in Syria, top military officers Wednesday called for the distribution of improved body armor to all soldiers in the region while also expressing regret for informing the nation of the ongoing Syrian War in this admittedly awkward way.

Tell that to the Manchurians,..
Or the Koreans.

Fattrad, here's where I set the bar, lest you think I'm just a liberal fag:

I've served my country honorably. I'm proud of my service. I'm proud of my outfit, immensely.

But I have sons and daughters. This is the first question I ask myself: "Is this a cause worth sacrificing the life of one of my own sons or daughters?"

Pretty high bar, but that's where it is for me.

If you can't answer that with a strong yes, then you're just a chickenhawk willing to sacrifice other people's sons and daughters.

It's not hate, it's reality. I have nothing but respect for others religions, just don't impose them on others.

What, you mean like the way the ultra-orthodox in Israel are imposing their beliefs on the rest of Israeli society?

Fatty- you're a republican- no offense, but it means that you have been sold the same line of anti- Iran BS since 1979.

The US and Iran are practically allies these days, but neither country can say so publicly.

Are you worried that Iran will get nukes? Does the fear arrive by e-mail or direct mail these days?

Iran will get nukes. 100% probability.

Why? Because we very likely agreed to look the other way in order to have stability in Iraq.

We handed Iran the good cards by invading their neighbors. They are now huge players in both Iraq and Afghanistan. We gave them the leverage. Handed it to them on a golden platter.

The surge was BS. There was likely a backroom deal to get the Iranians to cut back on the insurgency.

I think it was nukes, but it could have been something else.

Either way. They hold huge cards in the region. We are not going to attack. Never have been. Won't anytime soon.

Even St. Ronnie Reagan was running backroom deals with the Iranians, and that was back when the Iranians were a more active sponsor of terrorism.

Worst case scenario: E.M.P fries all electronics in the country.
Understand how it works
http://33-minutes.com/tag/electromagnetic-pulse/

To make a post-EMP attack electronics kit, simply place a cheap telephone,
television, radio, and even a computer, in a cardboard box. Then wrap the
cardboard box in aluminum foil, being sure to seal it completely.
Voila, you are ready for Armageddon.

Perhaps the best Faraday cage is a galvanized garbage can. Cut up some cardboard to line the bottom and inside of the can then place doubled up contractor grade trash bags one inside the other, inside the trash can. Place items you want protected into the trash bags that are inside the garbage can. Place the lid on tight and for added security attach a copper wire to the galvanized can and then to a grounded rod! There you go a super sized Faraday container.
