My last bottle broke and leaked inside a bag.
I have been too lazy to buy more.

I am fairly certain it is still around if that is what you are asking.
I was able to find what looks to be an overpriced bottle being sold at rei dot com by searching in google.

I remember hearing from Roy (Tarbuster) that the smell of Tincture, chalk, and old rope reminded him of climbing at Arch Rock...

I don't know about Arch Rock but those smells evoke powerful memories for me as well.
Though I never got into using the goo myself many friends did. Just a whiff of the stuff hurtles me back several decades. Simpler times.

Not a proven carcinogen like benzine, it is still suspect. Research continues.
It promotes accelerated cell division/reproduction after all.

I buy mine at the wide fetish store.

Scotty Gilbert (RIP) used to say that needing tape meant you had bad technique.

In the Valley I would agree. In JT and if I was climbing more than a day or two, I always needed it.

I get mine at www.medexsupply.com. Really cheap, you can get giant bottles too.

If even one of us had any sense whatsoever, it would be to produce a cologne, unisex probably, made from Benzoin. It such an evocative odor. All you have to do is remove the sticky aspect.

this time, won't someone else fess up to hanging a rack of hex bells
and eau de benzoine in the loo for the purpose of persuading
the train to leave the station on time?

Here's an alternative to tincture of benzoine that I have been using for several years. Go to a sporting goods store like Big 5 or Sport Authority and find some pine tar spray. They sell little bottles of pine tar liquid in the baseball section. I pour it into a small vial that closes tight. The bottle it comes in has a little pump sprayer that is pretty worthless. I put a small amount on my hand, rub it in, let it dry then apply Kendall Curity tape. Great adhesion and a nice fresh pine smell!
