When I lived in Europe, bodies frequently emerged from the glaciers there. In fact, enough of them had done it that it could be predicted what year someone lost at a particular altitude would appear at the bottom.

One of my partners, Rob Schnelker (son of the Vikings coach), was last seen outside Pinedale WY.
He suffered from depression and had made comments about suicide, and the thing was he was very well read when it came to climbing literature, so I feel certain that he read the David Roberts novella Like Water And Like Wind in which the protagonist descends into a crevasse and eats a jar of sleeping pills.
I keep expecting to hear that he has melted out. It has been more than 30 years,..
