Bob Dylan and his backup band gave a good show in Boise last night at the Boise Botantical Gardens.

The master was a little "gravel-voiced," but he put a lot of energy into performing.

Great crowd & great fun!

While waiting for the concert to start: I got to discuss Boise-State football with the "old fart" Dylan fan on our right, and favorite rifles, while waiting in line to get inside. An "eclectic" group of fans were present, (this state ain't entirely full of racist rednecks) but all enjoyed the show.

He must be on a redneck tour as he played the Buffalo Chip at the Rally last week with Kid Rock on the same ticket. 50,000+ bikers and Kid Rock it doesn't get anymore redneck than that.

I used to see great music all the time in Idaho.
Now that I live in LA, I'm too busy to go out. :-(

That's life in the big city.

Almost made it to Dave Alvin & Cindy Cashdollar at McCabe's friday night but it was sold out before I got in gear.

LOL @ HighTraverse!

I'm listeninig to some Visions Of Johanna as we speak.

I'm glad you enjoyed, but I wish I hadn't seen him a few years ago. His "gravely" voice was so bad that I walked out after 2 songs. Unrecognizable gibberish. Poor bastard should have given it up a long time ago instead of going out with a whimper/growl. But we'll always have his pre-75 work, which no one can argue is some of the best music ever made!

I actually know "Johanna". Definitely was a young woman to break a young man's heart.

Idaho is a diverse, inclusive state that welcomes artists.

An aside -- Dylan bears an uncanny resemblance to the Skeksis:
