On July 10th I am sponsoring an Adopt-a-Crag day at Tahquitz with the help of Andy Smith of the Forest Service and his assistant. Both work on trails in the area. We are planning on working on the trail to the North Face of Tahquitz, at least as far as the boulder field. Our main goal is to lessen the erosion caused by climbers on this "trail". We will do this by making clear one trail and routing it in as sensitive manner as possible.

We will meet in the upper parking lot of Humber Park near the start of the Devil's Slide trail. Please bring water, gloves, and work clothes. You probably don't need to bring any tools as Andy has a full set. We should be able to finish our work by noon, so a snack should suffice for food.

Please let me know if you are coming. We can only handle about 12 climbers.

If you are interested in general in improving Tahquitz and Suicide let me know.

Props to both you and Andy for your continued commitment to make the T & S area more enjoyable. It is much appreciated, and noticed by anyone who regularly climbs there. Thank you!

Bring Saws

There are a couple of dead falls across the upper part of the trail that should be removed.
