And this ruined your life? How?

Four hours of idle time in your great juggernaut of sending steezy projs.
A whole four hours. A whole 240 minutes. A whole 14400 seconds. Oh the horror!
Will you ever recover or have you been scared for life?
How did you ever manage to cope with this travesty of justice?
Oh yeah, by whining like a little Tea Bagger baby.

Youth Health is a national disaster. The mission of my non-profit (www.sierraexperience.org) is to improve eco-literacy, youth health and empowerment. Our society is reaping what we have sowed, and we all should be alarmed and work for change.

So, sorry your climbing plans were delayed, but I applaud Michelle Obama, one of the more worthy and vital first lady missions in a long time. Too bad you aren't moved to volunteer to take youth out hiking in Red Rocks, I am sure some community oriented climbing buddies down there will get involved in that.

BTW, kids don't have to be "fat" to be in poor health and in dire need of exercise, the average teen is in terrible shape.

Perhaps, judging from your attitude it is a good thing you don't do anything for kids, hopefully you don't breed either.

Whoa, I think I just made my very first hostile post, must be the post surgery blues.

OMG you are so right tarzan your desperately futile attempt to get your little willie wet was certainly the most important event that day. How dare those commiesocialistmuslimmofos think about promoting physical health for children. Sheeeeit can you believe the inconvenience this poor bastard had to endure.
Why don't you see if the well connected Fattrad can hook you up with an oily hand job by Sarah Palin.

Hurray for using Red Rocks to send a positive message to kids and adults alike. We have been neglecting the health of our children for too long. What a fine setting to send a positive message.

Tarzan must be a troll, he could have gone to Black Velvet Canyon and had more privacy.

then tell me why I should give a flying *F$%K about your minor inconvenience.
Last time I was at Red Rocks the road in was closed by a fatal motorcycle/car accident.
For over 4 hours. So much for my Sunday climbing. Went for a long "back country" hike and had a fine day.

Grow up.

I have to Take Tarzan's side on this.

I for one get a bit sick to my stomach when some assclown in a monkey suit tells me I can't use/ have to pay for access/ etc on public land. The land owned by all of us, as a collective.

For another great example, see the closure of the beaches in the gulf to reporters, enforced by the Coast Guard on the orders of BP.

edit: Our rights are being trampled, and we continue to argue amongst ourselves. F*#k the oligarchy, I'm sick of the rich using politicians as agents, and the politicians using law enforcement as clubs.

Don't worry, we don't have feelings and we really enjoying being referred to as "fat kids"... It does wonders for a persons self-esteem.

As a former in-shape-kid (ran a 4:40 mile when I was 15 years old), I for one would prefer if Michelle opened a kissing booth. Mmmmmm....

Man, people have been complaining about the silliest things this week. Christian stickers, overrated greasy crags, a photo op in the desert...

"how hard is it to call Bullshit on this Forum."

Not hard at all. You have been called.

I'd say most of us have a fairly good understanding of who we are. What we are wondering is who or what you are. It is obvious you have a latent racism and political axe to grind being expressed here.
So take it to the Political thread. You will feel right(wing) at home there. Lots of those guys can't spell or make sense either.

Michelle Obama and Harry Reid had their bully pulpit this afternoon, and made good use of it. She is putting considerable effort into her laudable anti-obesity campaign, including promoting exercise and good diet. If she does so in a place like Red Rocks, all the better. Kids need to see and feel that it's totally normal to be out hiking, scrambling, even climbing.

Tarzan can go swing on a vine with Cheetah, for all I care.

It's a publicity stunt . Child obesity is just a trendy offramp from the stickier issues like mishandling BP spill or healthcare etc etc . Nobody will be hiking or anything more next week - guarenteed .

I'm on a campaign to get Internet users up to speed on the English language. So, let's get started:

"obviouis flagrent trampling on public access issues leaves me seathing"
obvious flagrant trampling on public access issues leaves me seething

"double digets"
double digits

"this is a travisty"
this is a travesty

"scranny pigen neck"
scrawny pigeon neck

"Wenesday"
Wednesday

"leagle purchace"
legal purchase

"was a violiation of my 'Persute of Happyness'."
was a violation of my 'Pursuit of Happiness'."

Maybe you'll get lucky and the First Lady will take up your case the next time around.
