hey there all, say.... had been very busy making a huge thank-you gift for a gal that had gifted me with a trip to see some dear buddies...

i barely got it done in time... it was a fantastic and sweet gift, and i, in my heart, had to give her my heart-felt gift, of a handsewed quilt, a memory quilt, back... it was only proper...

WELL, THAT SAID:

yep, MARCH is traumatic brain injury awareness month... (tbi)...
here is a link:
http://www.biausa.org/aboutbi.htm

IF YOU KNOW anyone that has had a brain injury, their life, depending on how bad the injury was, WILL MOST LIKELY never, ever, be the same again...

please do be a LOYAL FRIEND, and be there for them if and when they need you....

you what?
they may not even "seem" to be "the fun" person you may have loved, but:

they are still the "beloved person" that they were, and are, if one takes a look at the inner man....

folks with brain injuries, are often left out of the main stream of life, and passed by.... :(

please do NOT let this happen to your family, friends, or loved one...
it is not pleasant to sink into the vast "lostness" of quicksand...

and... it is not pleasant to sink out of the wonderful life that these folks have lost...

god bless you all, as you remember to love folks, just for being them...
happy supertopo night, to you all, this eve... and, this early morn...

sorry so late, this year...

LAST NOTE:
*also, there is the jake smith ranch series, a fiction series that may just touch your heart and help you want to press on to being a good loyal budddy----when books get sold, the money goes to a local food bank (being that they do not earn enough money, yet, to really help folks yet)...

hey there, say, all... just a bump, before the month is over...

also--- if you have kids in sports... please be aware...
concussions are dangerous...

here is the link:

god bless...
sadly, my grandson had one, from hockey and his ma,
just brushed it off... :(

my mom, she knows better and i think she sent an
article to my daughter... me, i would not be able to, as
it would not be receieved well, since i am the "mom"...

but, perhaps "grammas" (my mom) have the magic touch...

And don't forget that the most common injury in our Middle Eastern wars is brain trauma. Guys living in Veterans homes and hospitals really welcome visits.

There are also others who through no fault of their own, succumb to neurodegenerative conditions that mimic brain injuries. This is also very sad. I have one very near and dear to me who has so succumbed....
