The old tried-and-true method of sky-painting was good enough, I say.

This hapless little old microtower.....plugged with 14 Home Depot Dynabolt progression bolts in <70 feet (excluding two failed, oversunk studs/sleeves), and a poor, horizontally arranged ring hanger rap anchor. Fully 2/3 of these are adjacent to reasonable clean gear or potential piton placements. Oh yeah, the Band-Aids, unburied pile of sh#t and windstrewn Wet Wipes rounded it all out nicely.

Now don't get me wrong, I am guilty of drilling progression bolts, I too sometimes sh#t in the desert. But at least my actions pass the sniff test.

Sorry, but Iíve been reading a lot of Jung recently.

Every story points to a picture, an image, of what our minds are giving us.

We might have it backwards. Itís the image that matters, not the narrative.

Thatís what makes the posted pictures so powerful.

The wonderful ones are more than a thousand words.
