Maybe in modern cultures, Patrick the Swayer.

In their hieroglyphic symbology, this is the sign for pravda, Comrade Sawyer.(I am telling a true story for a change.)

Interview an Egyptian from back in the time of the Kingdoms and it is likely he would tell you that lying, to him or his contemporaries, was among the worst things humans could do.

edit: I've consulted my hieroglyphics-studying neighbor. He sez the main glyph is a sickle, comrades. The secondary one is a wedge, indicating "truing" or "being on the level".

Montebello was built 1890 at Stockton by Richardson, Duck & Co. The ship was owned by Wilson Line, Hull, England. 1735 tons gross. Dimensions:  276ft x 35ft x 15.6ft.

Montebello sailed between Christiania/Kristiania - Christiansand/Kristiansand and Hull from 1890 to 1909.

The change from Christian- to Kristian- came in 1897. Kristiania is today Oslo. Kristiansand is still Kristiansand.

edit: Lots of marsh in Gascony--the sheep become mired in deep stuff. See the marsh in the background, i-b-goB?

In lieu of more VW diesels imported to the US, VW has come up with a new model.
