The location does in fact have extended periods of below freezing temps. Fresh water to make ice is sadly lacking.

StahlBro! Thanks and thanks for the nice photos of the baby rattler. I've always been a friend of baby buzz-tails.

Yep. Took it down to the bottom of the yard let it go in the cactus. He never rattled. It is really dry and they are looking for water now. Just need to keep your eyes open.

Yeah, well played Stahl. 7 buttons is a baby? You Idaho's are hardcore, save the ones who hate wolves.

Some stories told by pictures can use a little elaboration. I have to say I'd never heard of MAB. Now with an assist de Fritz we can all be a bit better informed.

Looks like the censors have been at it again.

Above, a positively radiant Miss Atomic Bomb poses with U.S. army personnel outside the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas in 1955. Just a few miles away, testing began to measure how well homes, household items, and mannequins in everyday clothes could withstand atomic blasts.

I shoulda taken the Courtesy Shuttle. Walking home from dropping my car off for service I hit an uneven sidewalk joint. DOWN! Spread Eagle style. So fast I didn't really know what happened at first. Right on 41st Ave and Highway 1 entrance at morning commute time! One of Santa Cruz's busiest intersections. Morning entertainment for cubicle pukes. My palms are all abraded too, but can't really get a selfie of them. I think I'll SUE SUE SUE SUE.
And yes, I know what some people might chuckle about what it looks like!

Dang Jay, that would have been a great story! As it was I was off width falling.
If I could ever do an off width FA I'd call it "Courtesy Shuttle".
