A ufi apparently being a kind of yam, not a mis-spelt UFO. They look uncannily like hands.

I wasn't able to get photos of the "Sheriff Detention Facility" on interstate 5, north of Sacramento. It intrigues me that they'd need a prison just for sheriffs. Wouldn't a wing in a regular prison do? Or is it some sort of country club prison, just for criminal LEOs?

I did see a dragon by the highway near Weed. Here's the best photo I could find of it.
The dragon's name is Penelope. Apparently in the "Barbie" version of Rapunzel, there is a purple dragon named Rapunzel. Probably with a friend named Barney...

It turns out that Penelope the dragon was created by an artist in the Siskiyou named Ralph Starritt.

Another of his creations near the highway is named Moo-donna.
I'm not quite sure why she has wings. Part-dragon, perhaps.
