Iron Hawk, September 1995.

Photo: Matt Grey, from Climbing magazine, issue 158. I'd love to have a better copy but the picture was only pointed out to me a couple of years after it appeared. By then Climbing had no contact address for Matt, who seems to have left the climbing scene. Anyone know him?

I've always liked this photo of me, on the second pitch of Bonnie's Roof at the Gunks. The shot was taken by my friend liz. Neither of us is a master photographer but I like the sense of exposure you get in this classic photo op, and I also like the clouds and the sky in this late afternoon shot. Not a difficult pitch but the position is exciting.

Unfortunately I seem to have misplaced the photos a friend took of me climbing at Diablo years ago. They were pretty decent, he was jugging a line next to me while I climbed.

I was roped soloing this little chunk of ice a few years back and somebody came along, took some photo's and emailed them too me. Of photo's I have of my climbing, I guess I'll rank it the best of what I've got.

I was always fond of this pic of me leading some obscure thing off Geology Tour Road near The Diamond Clump (never knew the name of it - anyone recognize it?)
