If you look at the link in Clint's post ,the forth on the first page , the second row after the names list the total number of routes done. Looks like Ammon has the most with 61.
Edit: Perhaps Steve Geberding,,(sp) 80 different routes.
How many routes are there on El Cap?

How many people actually climbed El Cap to the top??
Bet very very few!!
The actual top of El Cap is another long 1000 feet of steep slab.
LOL, we're all poseurs ...... :-)

Werner, the percentage of successful El Cap summits is way higher than Middle Cathedral! The success rate on Middle must be .1%. No one ever stands on that summit. Possibly the least summited feature in the valley?

Does that mean we throw out the Nose since many do it sub 48 hours nowadays? That makes it a grade V.
2:19. The Nose is now a Grade ll.

Kris Solem was asking above. This page is from Hans Florine's website, it's a list of El Cap resumes:
http://www.speedclimb.com/yosemite/compare.htm
Hans' page here is a bit out of date. I'm currently at 59 different El Cap routes with Waterfall Route and WOEML Repair last fall. Not counting bivies at the base or on the summit, 743 nights on the side of the Big Stone!
Looking for El Cap routes #60 and #61 this June! [God willing of course, but He seems to be on my side - He sure spared my ass last fall! TBTG]

I have four plus a variation and hammerless ascent of the Muir but that isn't any sort of record number.
Robbins has three.
Porter has six.
Bridwell has at least five...
