This reminds me of the time when ABC Wide World of Sports declared Largo, "the first person to climb Yosemite in a day."

This is an old episode of Adventure sports. The Eiger -freebase aired earlier this year. There is some good footage of Dean doing solos of Heaven, Seperate Reality & a route I think is called "Flyswatter", on upper Elephant rock. IMHO, this is the best footage on the show.

Enjoy!

When they did ABC wide world of Sports "Lost Arrow free" and Largo and Bob Beattie were the color commentators, Bob at one point said "Here we are in beautiful "Yellowstone National Park".

It makes one begin to question,... the information(?) that we consume via media formats. But,.. alas, our lot is to jostle one another and ourselves toward....enlightenment? Yaaahhoooooooooo! Don't take it too seriously, and it will be fine. Happy trails.

Have fun out there Bluey, it's an absolutely beautiful day! I have to go hang paintings this afternoon, (Mom, '86 just won't let moss grow under her heels) but I suspect there will be enough light left for the bike and pull up bar, latter...
I haven't changed a diaper since, thursday.

Not to get back on topic, but.... In the previews for the next one of these, did I see the helicopter ski dude, free his heel? Or maybe i just wanted it to be that way? I know, branding.......

I liked it, I hardly ever see mainstream television, but thought that they did a good job with this segment.

I really liked his article of the same adventure for Alpinist 27.

I always wonder, was the actual event filmed? In the article it sounds like a solitary experience, with maybe Beat K. shooting a few photos. Did they go back and re-enact it for film? I assume so, and hope so, I like the idea of the solo being solo, and then getting a film crew involved some other time to bring it to our living rooms on a sunday morning.
