Leave it to a fricking lawyer.

As far as dealing with the detritus, rather than a bunch of pick ups, if money permits my recommendation is to have dumpsters delivered to the house and hauled off by someone like Waste Management. Simplifies logistics and effort.

He's a CANADIAN lawyer! We need Sketchy to offset the north-of-border disclaimer with a good ol' south-of-border disclaimer! :D

Glad to help out and finally see Todd's roof get done. Russ last year stripped and replaced the entire AZ house roof solo! The entire project took him only a few days. Pretty impressive for a guy who hadn't roofed before. A big thanks to the roofing nailer from Harbor Freight, amazingly the thing never jammed or misfired once. Check out the finished product. Sweet!

Looks like there will be a lot of manpower. Has anyone mentioned the non-working bathroom? Seems to me they have a two bathroom house but Todd said the one potty hasn't worked the entire time they've lived there. Family of 5 and tons of house guests with only 1 potty?

Maybe we should have inside crew and outside crew? I'm happy to help!

Of course I'll be there. I can say that based on past performance I'm not that good lifting shingles onto the roof.

We have a large trailer and I can and do a mean run to the dump.....scary when the guys at the local dump know your name. Blitzo usually is my wing-man and date for the dump.

I also have a few other "struction" skills too.

If I am still here, of course I will be there and help. Roof experience? About Gunks 5.7... House roofs, none. But I can do other stuff that will be needed.

Ron, Brochacho was a huge player at the Flanders Fundraiser. Worked in Todd's sweatshop kitchen along with myself, Troutman and Troutwife and cool chick from Bezerkeley whose name is floating on the infrawaves of mi brain. Cheers, lynnie

An "inside" crew and an "outside" crew? Maybe the Raise the Roof department of needless legal flimflam can think of other adjectives.

bump, given the nefarious activities that have been going on around here tonight. I smell conspiracy!

IMPORTANT UPDATE

The roof work is being handled.

A crew has formed, the repair decisions are made.

We just need to pay for it. So loosen the purse strings.

Thanks to the few that have contributed already.
There is a long way to go though.

No doubt during Raise the Roof weekend, someone will talk about an offwidth, or an offwidth will be seen with a spotting telescope, or we'll read about one in a guidebook. Does that mean we can bump this thread also? Or are the only worthy threads those that involve offwidths?

Just nailed sixteen shingles on a friend's house that came off in the huge wind event we had here.

If I can make it, I'd pitch in one way or another.

Man, this photo manipulation stuff is pretty hard!
First attempt, not so good, but maybe still good enough for a laugh.

Happy Holidays!
