Next time I do this route I will rap in from the top and do the last 2 pitches only. Had a close call there once, and a friend of mine was involved in a rock fall fatality 2 years ago as well. the decent and the first 3 pitches are not all that enjoyable and loose.

sorry to hear about this.good luck on your recovery.as i get older(wiser) and more out of shape.i realize that the climbing scene is fraut with danger and to get in the thick of it(back country,longer routes,etc)seems like unnessesary risk,example almost got hurt bad coming off day needle in '80.giant rock(car size) started moving on decent.was able to hop off to watch it domino into mass movement of multi boulders.which probably would have been fatal.anything can happen while in the back country.like the guy that got his arm stuck,apendecitas attack,heart attack.be safe, take care,life is to short.
