You follow baseball and I don't, but is there a list of great sluggers who could also run? The two skill sets seem to be antithetical.

yes, all four runs charged to Urias. Baez (the Dodger pitcher) came on to get the last out of the inning

two that come immediately to mind would be Griffey and pre-roids Bonds

and of course Canseco, who is criminally underrated

Sure... a bunch. Mickey Mantle, Mays, Aaron, Bonds and go through Canseco, Sosa, Bo, and now Seager. Gonzalez has like 6 stolen bases in 13 years. You can do that by just showing up. Some of them big sluggers were 30/30 guys. That is 30 homers and 30 stolen bases.

Here is a great link of the 30/30 guys. Impressive.

30/30

Thanks for the list. I don't know what the numbers are, but aren't there a whole bunch of hitters, who like Adrian G., aren't runners?

Ted Williams, a local boy from Hoover High, touted as the best hitter of all time by some, didn't steal that many bases if I recall correctly.

Looked it up. Twenty-four in nineteen years.

Sure... lots of players can't run, not just sluggers. But to say that he can't run just because he is a slugger (which is sorta debatable anyway) is not the case. He is just slow. He is not alone!

Probably time to let this one go, but let me know if you have additional thoughts.

It's the body structure in my opinion. Super power muscles are not adapted to speed.

Take for example another hero from my day. Dude had some powerful wrists, eh?

It's been fun chattin' with you and I've learned some new stuff.

Right. I don't even know what you are asking anymore, or where you are trying to go with it.

Lucky there for only 2 runs. Could have been out of it clean though without the pitcher tipping that ball. Damn....
