A buddy of mine was at a rock climbing gym in Seattle where a guy was purposely jumping, taking long falls and somehow the rope wrapped around his finger and ripped the complete finger sheath and nail off. It left the bone and some meat which is nice. The guy was clipping into the top anchors and then pulling up rope and launching. Must have got a loose coil around it, owww.

I was doing Peter Pan on El Cap Base once and for some reason, at the crux, felt I needed to use my head jammed in the crack (to move my hands probably)
It was such a good jam that I sort of worried that if my feet cut away, I'd have effectively hung myself right there.
Makes me think of that Deli head jam trick
Peace

Mighty Hiker or Mastodon might spot me on this but Al Givler was with somebody I think was of Canadian ilk who got his foot stuck so well that Al had to climb up and cut the back of the boot open. Luckily, he was able to set up an anchor for this thrashfest.
