Man if you never knew Shawn CURTIS you missed a piece of climbing history. Shawn was a one of a kind, never heard him spray about his ability, unless he was down playing it, never heard the word NO come out of his mouth if you were asking a favor, always had pretty much an open door policy if you needed a place to crash (remember the unit you guys had in the "Del Mar" area Vato?)and lastly was a great FRIEND to all he chose to be close to. He was also a GREAT musician and a fabulous photographer. More talent packed into one package than I've ever known. Funny as hell too. Do yer self a favor and do some research, talk to some people from that "era" 70's and 80's and find out more about him, not famous, but deinately put his mark in his time.
When ever I go into the Ahwahnee I can hear Shawn playing the grand........them were the days!

Yeah Ron! You remember "The Ranch" in Del Mar? It was a cool place in it's time! Even "Too Strong Dave" lived there for a spell, amongst many others!

yep, very interesting living there with the boys Vato. It was always interesting to see the same wildlife in the house that we would see outside. Go figure

ah yes The Ranch....think I did a route in full crampons and ice tools....IN THE HOUSE, and who could forget the bottles in the back yard. Vato, some photo's of that place would be icing one the cake. Got any?
