hey there say, Q-ball and all...

wow, this is sweet... fun to see all the replies...

say, no matter where we go, or what we do, i think we 'make a tiny little nest' for ourselves, and make the 'substitute' fave place, until we
get back to where our REAL favorite place in the world is... :)

and that being, according to various reasons, as to why, depending on who we are, etc... and, what we can do...

my favorite place in the whole world, right now, is here-- at my home, as,
i can function at doing things that i feel i was meant to do...

however, my favorite place in the world, for a few hours, or, a day, or perhaps even a WEEK changes, if:

i am with those i love, or, haven't seen in a long time, or,
am visiting somewhere where i KNOW i am supposed to be...

*my 'thus now, then left-on-the-shelf' favorite place to be, is still
real... it is just revolving, in its cycle, and will 'shift back into place' when my 'journey' is done...
when it should... :))

so, hmmm, i think as much as i love so many places, my FAVORITE must be
my 'home base' of life-action... :)

I always like a womb with a view:
'Hobbit Holes' 'niches' or deep narrow notches where the scorching sun can't reach.
Holes & caves high up in the middle of a wall.
The deep recesses of the chasms that one climbs out of,

That exist from the Kolob Canyon outside of Zion

to the Gunks NY where it all started for me

I am blessed to have found one that is a sheer delight.

Approachable from both Top and bottom but the openings hidden from sight.

that climbing is inexplicably still so important to me has to do with the places so few see?

I'm fortunate enough to have experienced many places around the world over the past half century. A difficult choice but if I had to pick my most fav it would be Paris!

Hard to pick one, but the Nā Pali Coast in Kauai is right up there.
