hey there say, all....

happy appreciation thread to "the lisa"

she been here a bit... can't remember how long, but i DO remember
seeing the name pop-up on day:
she had really nice quality posts...

well, this triggered the thread:
now, for folks like me, that don't climb, she inspires me, by the "running aspect" of her life...
she inspires me to still do my dancing and stay fit...
walk or enjoy a fast run (as i don't do distance runs, etc, as i am doing my chores to walk this trail of other gramma type stuff, etc)...

she sets goals for herself and meets them, like all good climbers do, and, like all good runners, as well...
and she is an encourement... :)

plus: not sure, think it is in the "aerobic"? workout type thread, ???
she's there to encourage folks, too...

today, she surpirsed me, adding to a long wish that i'd had, and made it easy to ENJOY a friend, and what they do, in a 'real' way...
something that helps to do the "reach-over and shake the hand" of a friend...

so here's to THE LISA:
we APPRECIATE you being here, and adding your experience and knowledge and
such, to the supertopo....

happy climbing and happy running,
and may your joy and fellowship with friends, and your cooking, and so much more, be special, each day...

three cheers, and god bless...
and thank you for being you!

The Lisa donated some of the videos that were sold at the Korfest (raising $242 just on the total videos sale, the grand total still to be tallied by nature).

I was meaning to email her, but better that she gets public credit for helping out a climber she hasn't even met.

Good on ya girl.

Watch out guys. She does ultra marathons!

(also, last weekend the Greeks and I watched one of her Mystery Science Theater 3000 flix that didn't sell, I Accuse My Parents, and, well lubricated, we nearly peed our pants in laughter)

"A young Al Bundy!" Glad you got some laughs, Ron - love MST3K. I am thrilled the DVD's raised some cash.
And Neebee dear thank you for posting this. You are such a sweet positive presence here on Supertopo you inspired me to give something in return.

There are many women that post on this testosterone laden site that deserve respect. "the lisa" is one, and there are many more.

Cheers to all of you.

Oh stop, please, I'm blushing! (don't stop).
The number on my forehead was my race number which had to be visible. The skull photo is me after finishing the race 33 hours later. The Death Race in VT is a crazy challenging event :)
