OH, patchouli stands the test of time alright. A vile burst in my glove compartment YEARS ago. Still smells like tour.

The rice is getting messed up in N. India also.
Amateurs burn that stuff.
The old pros just put the whole package in a cool wood box and let the fumes slowly creep around for a few months.

I think the guru guy is Satya Sai Baba. I'm not positive. It could be Karl Baba for all I know.
