Tucked away in a little pocket of the Sierra is a little used pass. It's kind of the red headed step child of all the other passes. Better climbing to north and south and east, better biking to the north, and better skiing north and east. The lakes, rivers, mountains, and valleys are smaller. But it has its own little charm with fewer people. A Sierra light if you will. A few photos of skiing, biking and climbing.

Looks like the Bear Valley/Ebbetts Pass Area. Is that one climb (Last Days of November) on a blasted road cut?

Indeed, great place! My buddy has the "Flintstones" cabin just above the steep grade on the east side of the pass overlooking the canyon. Many a winter trip there with a huge effort in a different time, thanks for the memories. Great climbing too, I also wear a helmet for fun in the sun climbing after 40 years of baseball caps.

Cheers,
Charlie D.

The owner is Ken K., great guy retired mechanical engineer. Stop by and say hello, he's also a great guy to know, he owns a snow cat and a couple snow machines for winter access!!! It's a remote place in summer and out of this world in winter. Great ski terrain, I could go on and on.....Berg Heil!!!!

Charlie,
Do you know anything about the wall across form that cabin? I heard there were routes there and only found 2 sport and some very difficult looking cracks. I have heard it called the zebra wall but have never talked to anyone who has climbed there. Any information would be great.
Thanks.
